#SaturdaySpotlight is on Kara O'Neal & The Cowboy's Bride!

Good Morning and Welcome!

Today's guest needs no introduction but I must say Kara O'Neal is one of the busiest and most prolific authors I know, cranking out books faster than I've ever dreamed of! Maybe now that I am officially retired from insurance I can pick up the pace of production myself. Anyhoo, without much further ado...take it away Kara and tell us about your newest release.....

THE COWBOY’S BRIDE is book 16 in the TEXAS BRIDES OF PIKE’S RUN series.

The hero in the story, James Davis, makes an appearance in several of the books leading up to his. He’s a trickster and a mischief-maker who hates rules and only obeys the ones his parents set for him. He’s caused problems for many shop owners, farmers and the Women’s Guild. He’s put frogs in shoes, tacks on chairs, used mirrors during mass to annoy Father O’Malley and spiked the punch at barn dances.

And his antics have come back to bite him.

James becomes a victim of a prank and finds himself hitched to the judge’s daughter because of it.

Boy howdy, did I have fun causing problems for James. He’s always thought himself in control. He’s always thought he knows everything. Well…..I shook up his world and didn’t even feel bad for him. (Maybe I did. A little.)

James has to eat crow and learns what love really is. It’s a sweet story, and I hope y’all enjoy it!

Here's the Blurb and an Excerpt...

Pike’s Run, Texas, 1887
James Davis has plans -- work his family's ranch, get married, have a family. So, how does he end up in a hayloft with Liza Talbut, the judge's daughter, who is most definitely not the woman he loves?

Liza Talbut has plans -- cook, clean, and avoid all social engagements. So how, in Heaven's name, does she end up in a hayloft with James Davis, her long-time friend?

They are caught, but all is not lost. Liza doesn't have to marry James if nothing happened. And...nothing happened. But Liza wants a life out of her mother's home and to get away from her viperous sister. Liza knows she can be a good wife to James, and his kisses are too thrilling to lose.

So...she lies. And gets herself hitched.

And James finds himself with the bride he hadn't planned on...

“James!”

James shot up at the strident call, blinking rapidly.

“James!”

“Yeah?” he croaked out. What the hell? He was covered in hay. Had he fallen asleep in the loft? His head was pounding. He pressed the heel of his hand to his temple. “Damn,” he muttered.

“James.”

And the fury in the tone finally resonated. James looked up and found his father glaring down at him, along with the judge. “Pa?”

His father’s face was beet red with rage. The judge was clenching his hands into fists repeatedly.
“What’s wrong?” James rasped.

The hay rustled beside him. He turned and met the gaze of Liza Talbut. Stunned, he reared back. “Oh, hell.”

#SaturdaySpotlight is on Kara O'Neal @KaraONealAuthor & The Deputy's Damsel!

Good Morning and Welcome!

Today's guest is not new to our blog. In fact, Kara O'Neal is a regular visitor here and I'm always happy to share her new books with you! Many of you know I retired from my insurance job in May and I'll tell you this, if I can get things squared away and some of the irons out of the fires in my life, I only pray to be as prolific as Kara!

Please welcome her back with a peek into her latest Pike's Run book, The Deputy's Damsel. Take it away, Kara!

I’m thrilled to introduce y’all to Joe Lonnigan and Katia Stefanski, the hero and heroine of my newest release, THE DEPUTY’S DAMSEL. This story takes us to Austin where Katia is wrongly of accused of murder, and Joe, a deputy, believes she’s innocent. Joe hides Katia, protecting her from being arrested, which is at great cost to himself. He’s risking his livelihood and perhaps his life.

But his actions caused an even stickier problem that was quite interesting and heart wrenching to write.

Joe’s cousin, Conner, happens to be the sheriff. So, not only is Joe deceiving his boss, he’s also lying to a member of his family. The scenes between Conner and Joe were just as fraught with tension as the moments of fear and despair Katia experiences being wrongly accused of murder.

The family elements in my books are strong and add so much depth to the characters. And as I wrote THE DEPUTY’S DAMSEL, I found the characters having some very real, very gut-wrenching conversations. My heart pounded hard through the last ten chapters!

Reading this romance will give you ALL the feels, I promise!

Blurb: Pike’s Run, Texas, 1887

Katia Stefanski is stunned when she learns her recently deceased step-father has arranged a marriage for her. Even worse, her step-brother intends to honor it. Despite numerous attempts to convince her brother to let her make the choice, she fails. She flees during the party intended to cement her engagement.

Deputy Joe Lonnigan crosses paths with Katia Stefanski and is struck by her beauty and fighting spirit. When he learns she's been accused of the murder of her not-wanted fiancé, he can't believe it. With her step-brother's help, Joe risks everything to keep her hidden and prove her innocence.

But Katia can't let Joe destroy his future. She’s determined to take matters into her own hands, even if it means the noose.

Excerpt: Deputy Lonnigan sat tall in the saddle, his front dark as the moon shone from behind him. He put her in mind of a mysterious night rider, capable of taking what he wanted.

She remembered how strong his chest was, how long his arms. She refrained from gulping and strengthened her resolve. “I’m not going home. I refuse. My friend is just up this road, and I intend to stay with her for a few days.”

A moment of silence passed then the deputy said, “Well, I’m not taking you home. But you are coming with me.”

Confused, she couldn’t think of a reply.

“It’ll be the safest option.” He dismounted.

“Oh!” she gasped and back pedaled. “Don’t you dare,” she warned. “I’m not going anywhere with you.”

“I’ve got no time to argue.” He advanced on her quickly.

She spun on a heel, preparing to run, but he grabbed her around the waist and lifted her off her feet. She bucked and kicked, dropping her bag in the process.

“Get your hands off me!” she screamed, terror fueling her jabs.

He gave slight grunts then flipped her over his shoulder.

Her breath whooshed out of her, and blood rushed to her head. “Put me down! How dare you!” She pounded her fists on his back.

He bent easily and picked up her bag with his free hand.

Frantic, she hit him harder, squirming against his hold, but his arm was a vise on the back of her legs. Tears gathered. She had no control. No power. She bit her lip to keep from sobbing in frustration and tasted blood.

After putting her bag on the back of the animal, he righted her and dumped her in the saddle. She knew the moon shone enough to reveal the silver tracks of wetness on her face, but she didn’t care. Panting from the exertion of pummeling him, she surged forward to grab the reins. But he was faster and gathered them before she could reach them. He climbed up behind her, just like yesterday, enveloping her in the cage of his arms.

A handkerchief appeared in her line of sight. Her chin wobbled, and she refused to take it.

“Please don’t cry,” he said softly, as he withdrew his offering. “I don’t have time to explain things to you. We’ve got to get off the road.”

She didn’t understand what he meant, but it wouldn’t matter if she asked. The men surrounding her weren’t listening to her anyway. She kept her mouth shut.

He clucked to the horse then kicked him into a gallop.

She tried to pay attention to her surroundings, noting that he passed the lane that led to the Cummings’ farm. They went through a shallow creek then over a rolling meadow until the shadow of a log cabin loomed.

“This belongs to a friend of mine who’s a Ranger. He’s in west Texas fighting cattle rustlers.”

She didn’t care. This man was abducting her. Her heart pounded hard, and her stomach churned with fear. If she couldn’t get away from him on the road, how would she manage to escape him once he had her tied up somewhere?

When they reached the yard, he dismounted first then lifted her at the waist. He kept his arm around her as he led her into the dwelling.

“I’m not gonna tie you up, Miss Stefanski. You’re not my prisoner. I’m trying to help you, so…” He gently disengaged from her. “Don’t run, all right? I’m gonna light a lantern, and then we’ll talk.”

He’d left the door open. The horse was still saddled. She curled her hands into fists as an insane plan developed like a lightning strike. She nodded slowly, not trusting herself to form a verbal reply since she was no good at lying.

As soon as he stepped away, she dashed out into the yard.

“Don’t,” he called.

She clutched the pommel and put her foot in the stirrup, but before she could pull herself up, he circled her waist with an arm and wrenched her back. Using all her strength, she spun and pounded on his shoulders. “Let me go!”

He switched his grip to her wrists, stopping her hits. “Stop. Please, ma’am.”

His hold wasn’t too strong, and she tried to yank away from him, but he tightened his grasp.
“Miss Stefanski, please, I don’t want to hurt you.”

“Then let me go,” she wailed, choking on her fear.

“I can’t, damn it!” he thundered. “You’re wanted for murder.”

#SaturdaySpotlight is on Kara O'Neal @KaraONealAuthor & The Inventor's Heart!

Good Morning from Sterlington, LA!

We drove up yesterday for the Dixie Youth World Series. My guy's grandson is playing on SC team for the 3rd year in a row. It'll be his last though, so we hope they win (naturally!)

Today's guest has visited many times so please welcome Kara O'Neal with her book, The Inventor's Heart....

Pike’s Run, Texas, 1885
Alex Davis has just returned to Pike's Run, Texas, from Yale with a fabulous invention that could revolutionize the use of electricity. He can't wait to show his work to his family and his dearest friend in the world, Julia Forrester. But from the first day he arrives home, Julia avoids him. He doesn't understand and tries everything he can think of to spend time with her, but he fails.

Julia Forrester has loved Alex Davis since their school days. He was her confidante and her champion whenever she struggled with her studies. She helped him with his inventions, spending as many of her free hours as possible with him. She'd thought he'd loved her, but when he went off to college without her, her heart broke. And the infrequency of his letters proved his feelings didn't match hers. Now that he has returned, she is determined to move on with her life. She has written a symphony, and she won't let past hopes and dreams overtake her again.

But Alex won't give up, and when Julia confesses the reason for her distant attitude, the "Genius of Pike's Run" realizes his stupidity. He is in love with Julia and will now move Heaven and Earth to have her. But he is battling more than her distrust. Julia has another reason to keep away from Alex, and he sets out to fix it. Will the "genius" be able to prove his theory?

Excerpt

“You don’t want to stay here with me? Why?” Alex tried to calm his rising anger, but hurt at her obvious want to escape him overruled his will. “You prefer to be caught under the mistletoe and kissed by every fellow in town?”

Julia reared back. “I want no such thing!” she declared, trying to tug her hand free of his.

He would not let go. “Could’ve fooled me. Fitzsimmons practically had you off your feet. And Hollister is married and lingered entirely too long when he grabbed you.”

With force, she tried to yank free, but he was having none of it.

“It’s just a game,” she argued with a scowl. “I didn’t plan it, and I can’t control how any of the men kiss me.” She lifted her chin. “Besides, it’s all in good fun.”

Fun? Every embrace had torn him inside out. “None of them should have touched you. You’re my friend.”

“What does that mean?” she asked, her voice rising. “I belong to you?”

He almost shouted the affirmative, but he controlled the overwhelming feeling of possession. Instead, he kept quiet, not knowing how to explain his statement.

“You’ve been gone for five years, and I have other friends. Am I supposed to sit on a shelf waiting for you to come home?” She glared up at him.

Was she considering stepping out with someone? Jealousy roared inside him. “You think another man is better for you than me?”

“Emmet might have swept me off my feet, but at least he paid attention to me, at least he seemed to be interested in me, at least—”

Unable to take her compliments of another man a second longer, he yanked her forward and slammed his lips on hers. As desire engulfed him, he plundered her mouth, snaking an arm around her waist and pulling her up against him.

She moaned, and the sound spurred him on. He shoved his tongue inside, demanding she open for him, needing to prove that he was the man she wanted. He turned her and shoved her up against the wall, and she let out a whimper as she ran her fingers through his hair.

A shudder went through him, and he drank from her, never wanting to let her go. How had he not understood that her arms were his safe place? Why hadn’t he ever realized his best friend could set him on fire? His heart pounded hard, echoing in his ears and making him sing with life.

#SaturdaySpotlight is on Colleen L Donnelly & Letters and Lies!

Good Morning!

Today's guest is brand new to our blog so please welcome Colleen L Donnelly with her novel, Letters and Lies! Take it away Colleen.....

Louise Archer boards a westbound train in St. Louis to find the Kansas homesteader who wooed and proposed to her by correspondence, then jilted her by telegram – Don't come, I can't marry you. Giving a false name to hide her humiliation, her lie backfires when a marshal interferes and offers her his seat.

Marshal Everett McCloud intends to verify the woman coming to marry his homesteading friend is suitable. At the St. Louis train station, his plan detours when he offers his seat to a captivating woman whose name thankfully isn't Louise Archer.

Everett's plans thwart hers, until he begins to resemble the man she came west to find, and she the woman meant to marry his friend.

EXCERPT:

“He wrote and changed your plans? Why didn’t you tell me? You know I love hearing his letters.”

Everyone loved hearing his letters. Or at least they’d pretended to. I glanced at my friends, especially the one who’d first suggested I correspond with her husband’s homesteading friend in Kansas who was ready to look for a wife. She dabbed at her eyes with a handkerchief while she flicked the fingers of her other hand in a weak wave. I dredged my soul in search of a smile. The man she’d introduced me to truly had penned everything I’d ever wanted in a husband, months of letters which convinced Mama Jim was my open door. Letters I’d foolishly carted from family to friend to blather every word like a desperate spinster. Drat.

“He didn’t send his change of plans in a letter, Mama. He sent them in a telegram.” Don’t come, I can’t marry you. The only words I never shared.

“Well I imagine your Jim has a surprise for you and didn’t have time to send a letter before you left for Crooked Creek. How thoughtful to wire you instead.”

Thoughtful…I felt poisoned and Mama would too if she ever found out Jim had shut my open door. Which she wouldn’t, since as soon as I got out there and found him, I’d wedge it back open again.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Colleen studied and worked in science, using that career to travel and explore other parts of the country. An avid fan of literature, both reading and writing, she loves tales involving moral dilemmas and the choices people come up against. A lover of the outdoors as well as a comfy living room, Colleen is always searching inside and out for the next good story.

After all, she’s known as the local harlot and the daughter of the town’s biggest bigot. Casey could have any girl he wanted. Why would he saddle himself with her? In the wake of a shattering past, she refuses to give up her independence.

Casey digs down deep to win her over, but does he have what it takes to win Wayback's bluest heart? *Anticipated sequel to Blackest Heart - 1st Place More Than Magic Novella (2009)*

Excerpt: "You remember that night behind the stable?"

She let out a small, throaty laugh. "Seems like forever ago, but yeah. Your hair was a lot longer then."

"Yours, too." He could remember it curtaining their faces, the tips of silky, red curls tickling his cheeks. Tracing the line of pearly buttons from the hem of her midnight blue blouse to the open neck-line, he touched the teardrop-shaped pearl on the thin gold chain around her neck which reminded him of the moon that night. "You were my first."

She lifted her gaze to his. Tenderness warred with uncertainty in the whiskey-colored depths. "Me, too."

His heart pattered at the memory. "I always liked that about us."

She nodded, frowning. "I was crazy about you."

The tip of his thumb traced the bottom edge of her lip. "So why didn’t it last?"

She looked beyond him, remembering. "Because however much I wanted to be with you, I knew I would be leaving the first chance I got. I wasn’t going to let anything or anyone stand in my way."

"You figured I would?"

"Casey, we were so young," she told him. "Who knows what you or I would’ve done?"

He paused, running a hand over her hair. "Just for the record," he murmured, lips brushing her cheek, "I would’ve let you go."

She sighed, reaching up to clutch his upper arm. The muscle under her hand and his sleeve warmed. "Why hasn’t anyone snatched you up yet?"

"Because you’re the only one I ever wanted, Josie," he told her, cupping her chin in his hand to look her in the eyes as he said it. "The only one."

Along with Amber's other titles, Bluest Heart is available now from The Wild Rose Press!

Don't 'cha just LOVE cowboy romances!

That wraps up another Saturday Spotlight.

See ya next week!

Special Guest - Roni Adams!

Good Morning!

Please welcome Roni Adams back one more time with her upcoming release, Trouble in Texas, book 3 in the Double B series!

A fling with Charli Boyd would be the biggest mistake small town vet, Dr. Grant Clark could make, but as Charli explains “what fun is life if you don’t make a mistake every now and then?”

This wild, very hot and sexy read follows the antics of the redheaded Charli Boyd as she attempts to convince Grant Clark that life can’t always be about work; you need to live a little too, but will it actually be “good time” Charli who ends up losing her heart this time?

Excerpt: “I’m Charli.”

Grant felt like he’d been sucker punched. This vixen, the one who hit on him last night, was going to be in his office every day—looking like that—for six long weeks. But even worse was the sudden fast realization that not only was Beth’s friend supposed to help in the office but she was also the bridesmaid partnered with him for this weekend’s wedding. “You’re Charli Boyd?”

The red head smiled and wiggled her eyebrows. “In the flesh.”

“Do you always pick up strangers in bars?”

Charli set down the folders she was carrying and picked up his coffee mug. She took a long drink and handed it to him. Her fingers brushed his as he automatically reached for it. A spicy scent drifted to him and she looked him in the eye. “You’re not a stranger and I didn’t pick you up because you ran away.”

Grant couldn’t stop watching the way her hips swayed with her filing. He took a long drink of his coffee. She knew who he was last night. She’d been playing games. But why? To see how far she could push him?

“My helping out in the office isn’t going to be a problem, is it?” She turned and faced him as if shocked that it would even be a concern.

Yes it was a problem! How was he supposed to get any work done if she was bent over his filing cabinet in those tight shorts? And where were her shoes? Why did her red tipped toes look so sexy? No way could he focus on his job with this siren here.

“Actually, um, yeah it’s a problem. No offense, Trouble, er, Ms. Boyd, but I was hoping for someone a little less, well--” He ran his hand along the back of his neck trying to find the right words.

Her eyes lit up and she glided across the room to his side. It took every inch of willpower he possessed not to back away from her as she advanced on him.

“Are you saying you can’t control yourself around me? You certainly had no trouble resisting me last night.” Her hands found their way to the front of his t-shirt and splayed across his chest. She lifted one long finger and traced the curve of his bottom lip. Her body was close enough that he could smell her perfume and feel her heat but not feel anything else. It was frustrating and stimulating at the same time.

“I have a lot of work to do. I’m very busy and I don’t like distractions.” He hated that his voice almost cracked making him sound whiney.

She was close to the same height as he was and she lifted her elbow and rested it on his shoulder. Grant drew a deep breath and tried not to notice her roundness nestled against him.

Her eyes danced with delight. “I’m sure you can keep things professional.”

“It’s not me I’m worried about.”

She threw her head back and laughed and pushed away from him. “What if I promise to not chase you around the office?”

Grant stepped behind his desk as if it was a shield.

Charli lifted one hip and settled on the edge and crossed her legs. She swung her foot and his gaze caught on her aquamarine toe ring. Who the heck wore rings on their toes?

Sounds like trouble all right LOL! Trouble in Texas will be released in July. Along with her Double B series, Roni is the author of Not Exactly Strangers, a FREE READ from The Wild Rose Press. She also has stories in 3 anthologies - also from The Wild Rose Press. Find out about ALL of her books at her website, http://roniadams.com/

Special Guest - Roni Adams!

Roni returns this week to talk about book 2 in the Double B series, The Cowboy Comes Home.

They say you can never go home again. Tyler Weston is hoping that's not true. Two years ago he thought he wanted freedom and to be as far away from Sweet Meadow, Texas as he could get. He left behind his family's ranch, his brothers and his childhood sweetheart, Beth Sampson. Now he's home for the holidays, but he's hoping to make it a permanent move. Will he be able to mend the hurts he's caused especially with Beth or has she grown up and gotten completely over him?

Beth Sampson thought her world was ending when Tyler left her. He didn't even have the decency to face her and break up, he just left with no word. Its taken her this long to even begin to think about living again and now he's back for the holidays. Her only defense is to pretend indifference until he leaves again. The holidays can't go by fast enough for her. She needs him out of sight before she makes a complete fool of herself. What kind of woman loves a man who leaves like that?

Excerpt: "Dance with me.” Tyler’s words weren’t a question, but they weren’t quite a command either. She could have refused, should have refused, yet she let him lead her to the dance floor.

He turned her to face him and her brain screamed its refusal even as her hand settled into his palm.

When he folded her in his arms, her mutinous body soaked him in like a sponge. The song, a familiar tune about being home for Christmas, was way too fitting. She took a deep breath and then another. I can do this. She’d danced with Tyler and only Tyler for most of her life; of course it would be as natural as taking a breath.

Dancing with him was different than before, though. His body had changed, harder, more muscular. He was completely unfamiliar to her, and yet, she still tingled everywhere he touched. There was a time when she knew every inch of every bit of the skin on his bones. Now he was a stranger. How could this be? How could a relationship that had been so strong and solid since they were children turn into this?

She focused on a spot on his dark shirt instead, pulling herself out of her disturbing thoughts. “You’re in Abilene, then? How’s that working out?”

“Good,” he said shortly.

His scent drifted to her nostrils. He still wore the cologne she’d always bought him. The smell wrapped around her like an old quilt on a cold night. A strange sensation flowed through her, as if she was a plant that hadn’t been watered in way too long and slowly came back to life with a good dousing. She struggled against the urge to drop her head to his chest and snuggle in.

“You’ve cut your hair.” His large hand covered the middle of her back and slid up as if remembering where the thick blond mane used to hang.

She didn’t miss the disapproval in his voice. He’d loved her long hair, loved winding his fingers in it when they made love. He used to drape it over her bare back and make her promise that she’d never cut it. Her body flushed with the memory. She lifted her chin. He’d once promised her forever, too. So much for promises.

The Cowboy Comes Home is available now in ebook and print from The Wild Rose Press.

Ooohhhh, gotta love those cowboys!

Roni will be back next week to talk about her upcoming release, Trouble in Texas, book 3 in the Double B series!

Until later....take care and Be Blessed!

But when she meets Stone Brandon, the attraction is too great to ignore. Stone’s ex-fiancĂ©e’s betrayal has hardened his heart. Though he is drawn to Amber, he knows he can never fall in love again. Still, with her help, the dreams he has for the expansion of his family’s ranch can become a reality. A platonic marriage seems like the logical answer for both of them—until he realizes that a marriage in name only with Amber is a hell of his own making.

EXCERPT:
“Amber?” he yelled as soon as he threw the front door open.

“Stone, help me.”

The weak, panicked voice stopped his heart.

“Amber, where are you? What’s wrong?” Stone’s heart lurched to a start again, but thudded into his throat.

“I’m up here… ”

Her voice trailed off into a scream that bounced off the walls in the empty house.

He ran toward the sound, boots pounding on the wood floor, joining her scream in the echoing cavern of the vacant rooms. Fear gripped him when he reached the stairwell to find her collapsed on the landing, her back against a wall. As he neared, her face contorted and she cried out in pain.

She’s in labor!

He bounded up the steps three at a time, and dropped to his knees.

“The baby’s...coming,” she gasped.

Her hazel eyes seemed too large for her face, and he heard the fear in her voice.

“Its okay, Amber. I’m gonna take you to the hospital. Don’t worry. Everything will be all right.”

Stay calm, cowboy. Don’t let her know she’s scaring the hell out of you.
Wow, sounds like a great cowboy story!

Blurb for Outlaw in Petticoats:
Maeve Loman has had her heart crushed before; she isn't about to have it happen again. When she takes Zeke Halsey up on his offer to help her discover the truth about her father, she's sure she can control her traitorous body and not fall for the man's considerable charms.

Zeke Halsey has wanted Maeve Loman since he first set eyes on the prickly schoolteacher. Even as she thwarts his advances, he sees the desire burning in her eyes. He knows she feels abandoned and uses bravado to keep people at arm’s length. Offering to help her find her father, he hopes to prove he’s not going anywhere.

Excerpt:
He kneed his horse up alongside her gelding. “Any chance you know how to use that pretty gun you have hanging from your hip?” He said it in jest, but realized his error when she turned a narrowed blue gaze on him.
“It just so happens, my father taught me one thing before he left us.” She drew the pistol from her holster, leveled it, and cocked the hammer with her thumb. Glancing at him, a sly, crooked smile tipped her lips. She squeezed the trigger.

Peering past the spiral of smoke at the end of the pistol, he watched a pine cone topple off a limb.
She rode over to the pine cone, dismounted, and handed it up to him.

He whistled and stared at the hole in the middle. “Not bad. You can watch my back any time.”

Her dark eyebrows arched, and her mouth opened slightly.

Zeke wanted to lean down and kiss her.

When she found her voice she asked, “You don’t care I can outshoot most men?”

“As long as you don’t use that gun on me, you can outshoot anyone you want.” He couldn’t keep from laughing. She expected him to be insulted because she was a better shot than him. She obviously hadn’t been studying him like he studied her.

“I don’t understand you. Most men would have a conniption if a woman shot better than them.” She mounted her horse.

“Any man worth his salt knows his weaknesses and doesn’t begrudge someone else who is better.” He shook his head. “And Sweetheart, you’re better with a pistol than I am.” He nudged his horse up alongside hers.

He caught her behind the neck with one hand and leaned in, capturing her lips before she could move away. Dang, but she tasted good. When he felt the horses moving apart, he let her go. Her eyes remained closed, and she licked her lips. The quick rise and fall of her chest, made him grin. She could deny her feelings all she wanted, but he knew how he affected her, and he’d keep on plying her with kisses until she realized he wasn’t going anywhere.
I just love a good western romance, don't you?
Well Friends, that about wraps it up for another week. Hope you plan on entering my Sweetheart Contest.
