Good Morning Friends!

I've joined up with Debdatta Dasgupta Sahay and a bunch of other authors for an online event--the International Authors Day blog tour that began on Monday (the 14th) and will end on Friday the 18th (tomorrow). Each of the authors involved will tell you about their reading pleasure and ALL will be giving away books and other prizes so be sure and visit each blog!

Now about my reading habits....

I began reading around age four and am quick to admit I am a book junkie. At one time I owned a 6' x 6' book shelf filled to overflowing! That's been narrowed down over the years but books surround me wherever I am. I often say my TBR list is so extensive even my Kindle is getting heavy LOL!

Confession Time: Where others go on eating or drinking binges, I go on reading binges and there is no amount of purging to cure me of this addiction! 

Romance is my favorite genre of all times and with the exception of erotic, I read it extensively. Although I write Inspirational/Christian, I read across the board. Nora Roberts is my all-time-favorite author in the traditional romance market. Francine Rivers, Julie Lessman and of course my fellow Pelican Book Group authors top my list of favs in the Christian market. But that's not all!

I also read a ton of spiritual based nonfiction books. Max Lucado, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen are my favorites in traditional Christian nonfic, but Dr. Wayne Dyer & Marianne Williamson top the list of non-traditional spiritual authors, although I do enjoy Eckhart Tolle, Doreen Virtue, Neale Donald Walsch and many others. In fact, I'll read just about any author when it comes to spiritual literature.

Well now you know my deep, dark secret: I am a book-a-holic and proud of it!

Tuesday Treasure: Books

Well today's treasure is late going up...I've been busy, busy, busy this morning LOL!

Can't complain though as it's been quite a productive day.

You all know I am an author and avid reader and I share information with you on books I enjoy, find helpful, etc.

Today I just want to reiterate how valuable books are....

Books open doors to imagination.
Books take you to places you might not ever get to visit otherwise.
Books teach valuable lessons you can then share with others.
Books take you on adventures you'd otherwise never consider.
Books educate, encourage, uplift, and entertain.

So today I'd like to encourage you to pick up or download a book and more importantly, in this time of virtual reality and technology, buy books for the children in your life. Better yet, read to them!

Tempered Dreams on Tour - Virtual Book Tour That Is!

Hello Again,

Since my last post introduced to you my novel, The Inheritance, published by The Wild Rose Press, I guess this post should tell you about my novel, Tempered Dreams - book 2 in the 5-part series published by Com Star Media.


Tempered Dreams revolves around Dr. Scott Hensley (introduced in Tempered Hearts -book 1) and Katrina Simmons. He has built a wall around his heart since the death of his wife and parents. She is a battered wife when they meet. Can their faith be strengthened and dreams renewed?

Tempered Dreams is on tour NOW (virtual book tour that is) and for the entire month of May!

Introduction

Hello Folks!

I started this blog because I had to have a user account in order to post to The Wild Rose Press' blog, but I've decided to utilize it as another of my personal places to hang out :-)

First, let me tell you a little more about myself. My name is Pamela S Thibodeaux. I am a housewife, mother, grandmother, writer and licensed sales producer in the insurance industry. I am also the CoFounder, President & Treasurer of Bayou Writers' Group in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Multi-published in romantic fiction as well as creative non fiction, my writing has been tagged as "Inspirational with an Edge!" and reviewed as "steamier and grittier than the typical Christian novel without decreasing the message."
