#WednesdayWordswithFriends Welcomes Christy Whitman @ChristyWhitman

Good Morning!

Many people are receiving their stimulus money today and will be thanking the Government. Which is OK but let's remember WHOSE shoulders the Government rests on.

Today's guest has never visited before but those of you who liked The Secret or other Law of Attraction books will enjoy Christy Whitman's Q&A on her book, The Desire Factor.  Take it away Christy....

Q:  Tell us about your latest book, The Desire Factor.  What is the book’s premise, and what can readers expect to gain from reading it?

A:  The Desire Factor is a how-to guide for manifesting anything that you desire – be it something tangible like a new car or something intangible like more confidence.  It provides a current, comprehensive, and easy to apply exploration into the realm of energy, and shows readers how – by purposefully calibrating the energetic frequency of their dominant thoughts, moods and expectations – they can bring any desire into physical form.

Q:  What inspired you to write this book?

A:  The initial inspiration actually came through me over twenty years ago.  I have always had an appreciation for fashion and design, and a very hearty attraction toward high-end handbags in particular.  For years I judged myself for having this desire – believing, as most people do, that it was shallow or self-indulgent.  But after being introduced to the universal laws that orchestrate every act of manifestation, I came to realize that my desire for fine things was not shallow or frivolous.  The purses I coveted were actually symbols that were helping me focus my attention and creative energy toward becoming the woman I wanted to be.

My beloved Coach bag, for example, symbolized my becoming a woman who is healthy, active, self-loving, energetic, and – importantly – a non-smokier.  My Fendi bag, which I purchased years later, was a symbol of my rising confidence and success as a coach.  My desire for these material objects provided the vehicle, the awareness, and the avenue to discover and manifest the next version of myself that the higher part of me was urging me to become.  Having realized this in my own life, I began teaching these principles to my coaching clients and students.  The successes they achieved with the help of these processes inspired the writing of this book.

Q:  In the book, you identify 7 key principles that must be present in order for our desires to manifest.  Can you give us a brief overview of these principles?

A:  Sure.  The Desire Factor is organized around seven powerful universal principles, which – when successfully applied – raise our personal energy field to the frequency of ease, abundance, and joy.  When we reside in this state of consciousness, not only do our desires unfold easily and almost magically, but we are the happy, joyous, empowered people we were born to be.

The seven principles are the Principle of Alignment, the Principle of Focus, the Principle of Joyful Expectancy, the Principle of Having, the Principle of Loving, the Principle of Surrender, and the Principle of Action, which correspond to the seven chapters in the book.

Q:  What are some common ways people block themselves from manifesting their desires?  What solutions does your book offer to help them transcend or overcome these blocks?

A:  When we greet a newly-hatched desire with eagerness, faith, and positive expectation, it unfolds easily.  Our receptivity makes us magnetic to the very outcomes we desire, and universal forces literally come to our aid. This is why we’ve all had the experience of a desire that unfolded in a way that felt incredible or magical – where doors just spontaneously opened or connections easily were made.  We are actually all designed to live in this state of ease and grace.
However, most of us inherited a lot of beliefs and outlooks on life that contradict or oppose the easy manifestation of our desires.  For example, we’re trained to believe that hard work is the only path to fulfilling our desires, or we we’re told that we don’t have what it takes to get what we want, or that it’s not OK to outshine other people – the list goes on.  And all of these beliefs create tremendous resistance within our individual energy fields that block the easy manifestation of our desires.   Doubt and disbelief dilute the powerful energy of desire, and block its seamless manifestation.  Instead of experiencing the joy that comes from growing into an improved reality, we grow frustrated, resentful or resigned.

The Desire Factor teaches readers how to calibrate their energy field on purpose, rather than allowing it to be pre-determined by the limiting beliefs they’re inherited from others.  When we increase the energetic frequencies of our thoughts, our chronic moods and emotional states, we actually change our perception. And as our perception changes, entirely different possibilities become accessible to us that were previously invisible.

Think of it this way:  The energy of the life you desire to live vibrates, or resonates, at one energetic frequency, while the energy of doubt, disbelief, frustration, despair, etc. resonate at quite another.  To manifest the life you desire, it’s up to you to calibrate your energy field in advance of each new experience, in the same way you’d take the time to dress and apply makeup in advance of an important meeting or date.  The Desire Factor guides readers step by step through the process of energetically harmonizing with the objects, experiences or outcomes they desire.  And in this state of alignment and non-resistance we gain access to all our latent resources, as well as the resources of the universe at large.
