Saturday Spotlight Dora Hiers & Journey's Edge

Good Morning Friends and Happy Last Day of March to you!

Can you believe the first quarter of 2012 is over already? Where did the time go?

I've been holed up at a friend's house in Mead, OK - a beautiful home on Lake Texoma - and let me tell you, this time alone with God has been wonderful....peaceful and productive. April looks to be busy with lots of travel and visiting so I am already looking for the next place & time I can spend alone with my Lord.

The Wordsmith Journal's new site launches tomorrow (no foolin!) and lots of exciting things going on with the magazine. Visit http://thewordsmithjournalmagazine.com to find out! I've submitted my romantic saga, Circles of Fate to Harbour Light Books (a division of Pelican Book Group & sister company to White Rose Publishing) -- Prayers appreciated. Other than that, not much going on in the writing world so that wraps up this edition of My Life in a Nutshell.

So without further ado, please welcome friend and fellow author, Dora Hiers.....

After a successful auditing career, Dora left the corporate world to be a stay-at-home mom to her two sons. When her youngest son didn’t want her hanging out at school with him anymore, Dora started writing heart racing, God-gracing books. Dora belongs to the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and the Carolina Christian Writers. Dora and her husband make their home in North Carolina. When she’s not writing, Dora enjoys reading and family gatherings. She despises traffic, technological meltdowns, and a sad ending to a book. Her books always end with happily-ever-after’s.
Readers can find out more about Dora through her Website  and blog, and connect with her on Facebook and Twitter! @DoraHiers
A Routine Audit? Hardly.
Red flags—including some goon who's following her—raise McKinley Frasier's suspicions that numbers don't add up at the insurance firm. When someone tries to snatch McKinley's daughter from school, she turns to police officer and ex-fiance, Renner Crossman—the cop who walked out on her a month before their wedding. But Renner's not the same guy who broke her heart ten years ago. He calls himself a "new man." She trusts the new Renner with her daughter's safety...but what about her heart?

Journey's Edge is available now from Pelican Book Group in Ebook and Print!

Well Friends, that wraps another edition of Saturday Spotlight.

Next week is Holy week. As we count down the days to Passover, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and the Resurrection I pray you are BLESSED beyond measure!

Until next time...take care and remember.... The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to you!

Saturday Spotlight

Please welcome Jeremy Mark Lane to our Saturday Spotlight with his book, While I'm Still Myself.

A passionate December love affair.
The meeting of an unexpected traveler.
The consequences of protecting a young new acquaintance.
A journey into an unknown past.
In the stories of While I’m Still Myself, Jeremy Lane eloquently describes the life changing impact of the brief encounter, showing that life and love are not shaped by an entire lifetime, but by the fleeting moments with unexpected people in unexpected places.

Endorsements
“Great writing knows the intimate language of the soul, occupies your thoughts, and draws you back to its words over and over again. Jeremy Lane’s style has a Raymond Carver quality that impresses with every word.” –JAMIE GUINEY  Author of Pushcart Prize nominated A Quarter Yellow Sun

“…charming and rich with an emotion that makes one ponder on pieces of our existence that are often overlooked.” –LACEY WEATHERFORD Author of The Trouble with Spells

“Resignation and a sense of hope often go hand in hand in this powerful collection. Dealing with big themes, Jeremy’s characters remain unfailingly warm and doggedly inspirational.” –LYNSEY MAY Author of It Starts So Sweetly.

Jeremy Lane is a writer living in North Texas with his wife and three children.

Jeremy’s first collection of short stories, entitled “Here and Gone”, was published in 2010 by Ether Books, a digital publisher located in the UK.

A collection entitled, “While I’m Still Myself” was published in paperback by Tate Publishing early in 2012.

His work has also been featured in many literary sites and journals, including MUSCADINE LINES: A SOUTHERN JOURNAL.

My Life in a Nutshell Update

Good Morning Friends,

Well I thought it would be a good time to update you on what's going on in  my life but where to start?!

I guess the best place to start is in telling you I've acquired full ownership of The Wordsmith Journal effective Feb 1st. This has been an exciting yet challenging endeavor.

I've created an actual document & pdf of the magazine and put it up on different sites for folks to read. It is and will continue to be available monthly on Kindle & Nook for $0.99 and on  Issuu and on the website under TWJ2Go!

On a personal note, I'm still aggressively promoting The Visionary and am hoping to have news of at least one, maybe 2 more contracts (or at least submissions) by the end of this month.

Well that's about it, folks -- that's my life in a nutshell :-)

Until later...take care & God Bless!
