Good Morning Friends,
Well I thought it would be a good time to update you on what's going on in my life but where to start?!
I guess the best place to start is in telling you I've acquired full ownership of The Wordsmith Journal effective Feb 1st. This has been an exciting yet challenging endeavor.
I've created an actual document & pdf of the magazine and put it up on different sites for folks to read. It is and will continue to be available monthly on Kindle & Nook for $0.99 and on Issuu and on the website under TWJ2Go!
On a personal note, I'm still aggressively promoting The Visionary and am hoping to have news of at least one, maybe 2 more contracts (or at least submissions) by the end of this month.
Well that's about it, folks -- that's my life in a nutshell :-)
Until later...take care & God Bless!
PamT

Saturday Spotlight - New Release from Pelican Book Group!
Good Morning Friends,
It is with great pleasure I bring to you today's spotlight - Karen Cogan and her new release, Under the Midnight Sun - this week's release from Pelican Book Group (aka: White Rose Publishing & Harbourlight Books)
Skagway, Alaska seems the perfect place for Ginny to do more than scrape out a living. Her hopes for independence begin to come true and though she has given hardly a thought to God's place in her life, she meets a young native man who captures her heart. As a believer, he encourages Ginny to place her trust in the Lord. Gradually, she discovers God has a plan for her life and places her trust in him.
Under the Midnight Sun is available for download now only $2.99!
And while you're there, check out Karen's other titles.
Now that we've learned about this great new book, let me tell you about my new venture!
As if I'm not busy enough, I've taken on the task of Ad Sales Director for The Wordsmith Journal, a new magazine geared to reach the Christian market!
Calling all authors & readers! The Wordsmith Journal is having a great contest with over $300 in total prizes! Get all the details at the website.
Well friends, that's about it for now - don't forget we go on a month-long blog tour with The Visionary beginning Nov 16th and I'll be giving away autographed copies of the novel!
Until later....take care, God Bless & remember....Don't let the darkness around you smother the light within.

My New Venture!
Good Morning Friends!
As if I'm not busy enough, I've taken on a new venture as Ad Sales Representative for The Wordsmith Journal. This new magazine is geared to reach Christian readers, retailers, & music fans as well as libraries and other outlets for the Christian writer and musician.
We have already secured interviews with big house published authors to bring name recognition to The Wordsmith Journal immediately, including Kelly Hancock, Worthy Publishing, Deborah Raney, Simon & Schuster, Debby Mayne, Abingdon and authors from Zondervan. Additionally, there will be a featured article on Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys in the near future and guest columns from celebrities. Musically, we will be interviewing Rachael Lampa next week and will be meeting with the Gospel Music Association in the next few weeks.
As a reader, I'm constantly on the lookout for new books and great authors. As an author I know the million dollar question is and continues to be: "How do I reach readers?”
The Wordsmith Journal is one answer to both questions!
What readers will find in every monthly edition of The Wordsmith Journal
Entertaining articles & Inspiring interviews of authors, music artists, and leaders in the publishing and music industries
Reviews of exciting new books and music
News from Christian authors, music artists, and publishers
Information about new releases
Online Book club & Reader forums
The Wordsmith Journal Book Club (TWJ BOOK CLUBS) will feature one fiction and one nonfiction book each month and will be supported by online reader forums, local chapters, a network of sponsoring bookstores, and an annual Readers’ Pick Awards contest. Featured titles and the Readers’ Pick Awards will be highly promoted though online advertising, our extensive social media contacts, and via The Wordsmith Journal e-Newsletter. A music club, forums, and awards are also under development.
Advantages for Authors:
Understanding The Wordsmith Journal is a newborn babe, we realized we had an additional resource that we could use to maximize authors and musicians exposure along with the magazine by creating PDF catalogs each month of the books and music products advertised in The Wordsmith Journal and emailing them to our database of over 7500 retailers, libraries and readers monthly.
For Book Stores & Book Clubs:
Well friends, I hope you'll join me in my new endeavor! For more information on this exciting new resource, email me at: pthib07@gmail.com and I'll answer your questions & send you the link and password to the mock website.

Advantages for Authors:
The overall mission of The Wordsmith Journal is to build relationships between authors and readers, with the prayer those relationships overflow in fellowship among readers over good books.

How does that breakdown? An author who advertises with The Wordsmith Journal receives in excess of 7500 impressions (impressions are measured by people who have access to seeing or hearing about a product) through the catalog alone. Think about it - a $75.00 ad being viewed by 7000 potential readers & book buyers (not to mention the music fans who will be visiting the site) = less than $.01 per person - guaranteeing you massive exposure for a minimal investment!
For Book Stores & Book Clubs:
There is no charge for bookstores to sponsor and/or host a TWJ Book Club. Sponsors will receive complementary downloadable posters, signage, and other promotional materials and helps as well as attractive discounts on the featured titles and a listing with a hotlink to their website on the sponsor page.
The first online edition of The Wordsmith Journal will launch October 1, 2011 and the print edition of The Wordsmith Journal, is scheduled to release in Fall 2012!

Until later....take care, God Bless and remember....a book opens the door to a whole new world!
