#WednesdayWordsWithFriends: I Need Your Help!

Good Morning Friends,

As I mentioned in Saturday's post, I'm pretty pumped up about the headway I'm making with my new book/series Women of the 9th Circle. I started joining a group of people who meet in a zoom room for writing sprints from 6-8 a.m. with the goal to write at least three or four days each week. We don't talk or share during that time, which is a lot different from some of the other sprints I've participated in, but just knowing others are there writing too helps me to focus and I'm averaging 500-800 words per session. Not a lot considering I used to write that in a half-hour but hey, it's a start! I'm sure my word count will increase as I continue to apply butt to chair and write LOL!

If you've followed me for long, you know I'm a seat-of-the-pants writer so what pours out onto the screen is totally up to the characters and therefore, a surprise to me. This way of producing may not be conducive to completing a huge number of books, but I hope to publish at least one or two this year. I'm still waiting on edits of Kyleigh's story and will keep you informed on that as things progress.

Meanwhile, as a member of Author Ad School, I took advantage of the experts' knowledge and got a new blurb for Circles of Fate. Here it is....

When two souls are torn apart by duty, can the hand of God bring them back to a happily ever after?

Late Vietnam War era. Strapped for cash, Todd Jameson flirts with disaster. Caught robbing a liquor store to pay for his dad’s funeral and given the choice of jail or signing up for the military, he picks the best of two bad options and joins the army. But just as his fresh start reconnects him with a sense of honor and the friendship of a gracious woman, he’s deployed overseas into an unknown destiny.

Sixteen-year-old Shaunna Chatman devotes every breath to caring for her sick mother. Working in a diner to make ends meet, the last thing on her agenda is to fall for a young soldier about to be sent into battle. But when he encourages her not to wait, she reluctantly moves on to wed another who’s there to pick up the pieces after she buries her beloved mom.

Thrown into a whirlwind of circumstance, Todd flows in and out of the courageous girl's narrative wondering if their stories will ever fully entwine. And though Shaunna’s journey grants her a child even as personal tragedy strikes, her thoughts often turn to the boy who still fills her heart.

Will their paths merge once more to bask in the glory of His love?

Circles of Fate is a deeply woven inspirational women’s fiction novel. If you like believable heroes, roads to enlightenment, and tales of inner strength, then you’ll adore Pamela S Thibodeaux’s romantic saga.

Buy Circles of Fate to walk in the light today!

Now I'm struggling with an appropriate cover.

This is where you come in.

Please take a moment and look at Amazon's Top 100 Women's Fiction Best Sellers and let me know which of these covers you think fits the genre best.

                              Option 1                         Option 2                        Option 3

Thank you!

Not much else going on in my world today. I'm spread a little thin this week so I won't take up more of your time. Please know, I appreciate your continued love and support.

Until next time, take care and God bless.

Happy New Year!

Well we made it to LOL!

2018 is history and 2019 filled with promise. This is a time when most people reflect on the past twelve months, reevaluate their lives and plan for the future.

If you're doing that today, I'd like to offer you a bit of encouragement.

Dream Big - because all of heaven is dreaming with you!

Believe in Yourself and Your Dreams.

Imagine the life you'd love to live, seek God's wisdom and direction then take the actions inspired during your time with Him.

Most of all, remember to infuse every thought, word, action, deed and dream with LOVE because of all of the emotions we feel, LOVE is the greatest. Even God said so in 1 Corinthians 13:13 ....

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Here's wishing you and yours a most Blessed and Prosperous 2019.

#SaturdaySpotlight is on Star Spangled Suspense!

Good Morning from Santee, South Carolina!

Today's guest was unable to make it but never fear, I've got a very special spotlight for you!

Over the past several months, I've been involved with other authors to bring you collections of Christian suspense novels at only 99cents.

Today I'm proud and happy to share with your our latest...... Star Spangled Suspense which includes my very own Circles of Fate!

Here are the details....

Exciting Tales of Patriotic Heroes from the Past to the Present

DEATHWATCH by V. B. Tenery
Finding a killer in the middle of a blitz is murder.

When a cryptanalyst in Britain’s top-secret Code and Cypher School is murdered, alarms sound in the highest echelons of Parliament. Was it merely a lover’s quarrel that ended her life, or was she killed after telling the Germans everything they wanted to know? That’s what MI6 Agent, Commander Grey Hamilton must find out.

He is joined in the chase by an old university friend from Scotland Yard, and a young American genius who has been singled out by the killer as his next victim.

As the Luftwaffe escalates its reign of terror over London, the unlikely team dodges bombs while searching the Underground and London docks knowing failure is not an option. The lives of English soldiers and perhaps the fate of the British Empire itself, is at stake.

CIRCLES OF FATE by Pamela Thibodeaux
Set at the tail end of the Vietnam War era, Circles of Fate takes the reader from Fort Benning, Georgia to Thibodaux, Louisiana. A romantic saga, this gripping novel covers nearly twenty years in the lives of Shaunna Chatman and Todd Jameson. Constantly thrown together and torn apart by fate, the two are repeatedly forced to choose between love and duty, right and wrong, standing on faith or succumbing to the world’s viewpoint on life, love, marriage and fidelity. With intriguing twists and turns, fate brings together a cast of characters whose lives will forever be entwined. Through it all is the hand of God as He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

PATROIT HEARTS by Tammy Trail
Major John Tennant has recently returned from his post on the frontier to find his home razed to the ground and his children in the care of strangers. He struggles to bring the man to justice for the murder of his family while providing for his children.

After her fiancé is impressed into the Royal Navy, Elaine Henderson vows to help her brothers fight for Independence. For three years she has carried bitterness in her heart, until providence intervened to replace it with two motherless children.

DARING TO LIVE by Mary Vee
Patriotism On American Soil

Little did Staff Sergeant Ethan Hartman know that being sent stateside would result in his next search and rescue mission.

Liz Westcott fights for a place to sleep after being evicted. She settles for a local train station, the only available roof. There are those who live under that roof, thieves and liars, who look for people like Liz, welcome them into their family, then prevent their escape. Liz's only hope until she can escape, is Daring to Live another minute.

Suspense that will keep you reading long into the night.

If you love suspense novels, pick up this collection at Amazon - again only 99 cents!!

Hope you enjoyed today's spotlight and that you'll check back weekly for Tuesday Treasures, Thursday Thoughts and Saturday Spotlight.

Until next time, take care and God bless.

#ThursdayThoughts on Change....

Good Morning from Santa Fe, New Mexico!

If you've visited often you know I've embarked on a 2 month trek across the US to make a loop up the West Coast, around the Midwest and back down to Louisiana. Saturday I'll be spotlighting some highlights from our trip so be sure and drop by.

Meanwhile, let's talk a little about change.....

Some people thrive on change. Others hate it. Many, like me understand change is a part of life and just learn to go with the flow.

Not all change is -or appears - good: death of loved ones or loss of job or health. Though these are some of the worst types of changes we can go through, life goes on and so must we.

Other changes are good! New job, new relationship, new home, new (fill in the blank). We love these types of changes although many begin with a not-so-good one.

Then there are changes that surprise and please and hopefully open new doors for us. These are the types of changes I absolutely LOVE. One such change is with my novel The Inheritance (published 2007 from The Wild Rose Press). We all know the story of how TWRP evolved to White Rose Publishing and then Pelican Book Group - these were all good changes. Now there's one even better!

PBG is re-issuing The Inheritance sometime later this year. The book has been edited, updated, revised and has a brand new cover! Don't 'cha just LOVE it? I do! It's still the same story, only better and hopefully this change will turn out to be good for everyone involved and will garner new readers.

On the heels of this news and my receiving the galley which I'm currently working to get back to the editor so we can get an actual release date....anyway, my lovely cover artist and friend, Delia Latham of Heaven's Touch Designs surprised me with a brand new cover for my Tempered Series bundle (boxed set)..... I can't wait to replace the current one with this!

These two changes started me thinking....Even though we're told not to, many people judge a book by it's cover therefore, a not-so-good cover can make or break a book. My novel, Circles of Fate has gotten great reviews yet the sales reflect poorly. So, Delia and I put our heads together and came up with a brand new cover for it too!

I love how Delia depicted the main characters in this romantic saga so well! Hopefully, this fresh, new and exciting cover will be more attractive to readers. It is certainly eye-catching.

These are all good changes, but even good changes have drawbacks....in these instances, lot's of work replacing the old covers with new in all publishing venues AND in all marketing materials. Hopefully our hard work will pay off and readers will reap the benefits as well, by being entertained, their faith strengthened by the triumph of these characters.

Moral of this post: Whether expected, unexpected, good or not....life continually changes and evolves. So must we.

Something to think about!

#ThursdayThoughts: Do Reviews Help or Hurt?

Hi There!

Late posting today...had to bring my dad home from the hospital and take my daughter to the airport.

Last month I shared with you some wonderful reviews on Circles of Fate. In today's post you'll see a whole other side of reviews....

Recently, I received notification of a “review site” and as most authors, contacted the owner with great enthusiasm and hope of yet another opinion of my books.

After chatting a little I decided to send her my books, 7 full length novels, which ended up getting separated from the address label while en-route to her. Result: Lost in the mail.

Since I trust God with my writing, reviews and sales, this should have been a red flag right?

Instead I just thought “what a mess!” and sent her the E-version of my Tempered series.

In the end, “What a mess!” was an understatement.

Harshly disappointed, the reviewer stated her opinion of certain aspects of each title without giving credence to the overall story or growth of the characters; and even went so far as to critique me as person, questioning my position of faith rather than focusing on the stories themselves.

I was stunned to read each—and not because the reviews were less-than-stellar, but because of the manner in which the reviews each focused on one incident in each book and also pointed fingers at the author (me).

If you go to Amazon and look at all the reviews in this series, you will see a couple of one - and two - star opinions, but none appear to be as directed as this woman’s—and they are mixed among many positive reviews (each book averages four-stars or better).

Further research (which I should have done beforehand!) revealed that most of the books she regards highly (4 & 5 hearts) are erotica….yeah, that, too, should have been a huge red flag. Reading is subjective, and there are many genres—and that’s great—but Christian fiction and Erotica are on opposite ends of the fiction spectrum. A reader who likes one rarely likes the other, so I should have realized my books would not be a good fit for her reading enjoyment.

I imagine by now you’re wondering what I did about this review?

When she first sent it to me (before posting on her blog) I asked her to not put this up anywhere because her comments felt like a personal attack, which I also felt, was lack of a complete, objective review.

Since she refused and insisted on posting to her blog as scheduled, my comment to her was….. “Thank you for hosting me today. I'm sorry you were so harshly offended by the series. I appreciate the time and energy you put into this lovely feature. Good luck & God's blessings.”

Takeaway for Authors:

RESEARCH before asking for a review. If the owner/reviewer really likes something totally opposite of what you write, don’t expect a good review of your book.

UNDERSTAND: Reading is subjective. Not everyone will enjoy or even like your books. Sometimes something will strike a chord in the reader and they will react harshly.

ALWAYS: Be considerate of the reader/reviewer’s feelings and thankful for their time and energy.

PRAY that somehow God uses this to teach you (the writer) or touch them (readers) in a positive way. He does, after all, work subtly and oftentimes, behind the scenes.

Takeaway for Readers/Reviewers:

Writers are human: We have feelings. If you absolutely hate the book, please don’t review it. If you do, then please find something positive to say along with your objective assessment of what you didn’t like. In any case, please remember, it is not the place of a review to hammer down judgement and wrath.

Don’t judge an entire book on one aspect. This is often what happens, but as a reader if I don’t like a book and can’t give it a 3 star or better, I won’t review it at all. In fact if I was so harshly offended by book 1 in a series, I wouldn’t even attempt to read the rest. And, I certainly wouldn’t attack the author’s faith by the actions of his or her characters.

Remember, the characters we create are not real. They may represent real feelings, real actions, real flaws; but the characters are fictional—and they are rarely representative of the author. Think of it in the same vein as acting. An actor is not the character he or she portrays. Likewise, authors are not the characters we bring to life for your enjoyment.

Something to think about!

Until next time...take care, God Bless and Remember....When the going gets tough the tough get on their knees

#TuesdayTreasures: Reviews on Circles of Fate

Good Morning!

Today I'm leaving Santee, SC headed to Savannah, GA so check back Thursday where I'll share some random ramblings about this little vacation.

As a reader I love to encourage authors by leaving reviews. As an author, I agree with the following statements found on Facebook posted by Karen L Silverman and Paul Cwalina

So it is with great pleasure I share with you these reviews on my novel Circles of Fate....

Lalla Broussard Allen said.... "Started reading your book yesterday. Today I am still in my pjs, reading and watching Hallmark movies. I never stay in my pj’s all day, totally out of character for me but I can't put the book down. Thanks for writing another book."

Deena Peterson said.... "Circle of Fate is a passionate Story.  Characters come within seconds of falling hard into temptation's grasp, and love is often heated and emotional.  But the writing never crosses the line into sensuality...it just tiptoes kind of close to it once in a while!" Read Deena's entire review HERE.

Deborah Piccurelli said... "I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good, rich, love story that leaves you thinking about it long after you’ve turned the last page." Read Deb's entire review HERE.

Talk about  humbled and blessed! Great reviewers/fans/friends and wonderful reviews like these are always something to treasure!

Through it all is the hand of God as He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Circles of Fate can be purchased at Amazon (KINDLE); Barnes and Noble (NOOK); Create Space and Smashwords ... but for now enjoy this Excerpt....

She saw the struggle in his eyes, felt it in her heart, as each fought not to grab hold and cling. They gazed at each other, read the naked truth in each other’s eyes.
Neither wanted to be the first to walk away.
Shaunna touched his face, traced his features…his eyes, his jaw, his mouth. A shiver shook her when he held her hand and pressed his lips to her fingertips.
“I almost wish we had made love the other night.”
Almost?
The word echoed between them like a silent scream. The despair in his eyes slashed her heart another degree. He shook his head, swallowed hard.
“Know this. If we had, you would not leave here today.”
She stroked his cheek, her smile tender, bittersweet. “Take care of yourself. Please,” she whispered then placed her mouth on his.
Lips met on a sigh, breaths mingled on a sob. Each of them committed the kiss to heart, and fought not to cling to the other. With a final touch, a last trembling smile, Shaunna did one of the hardest things she’d ever done in her life.

She left.

Hope you enjoyed this week's treasure. Hope to see you again later for Thursday Thoughts and Saturday Spotlight!

#SaturdaySpotlight: The Serpent Beguiled Eve by Acacia Slaton

Good Morning Friends,

It is my pleasure to bring you this Saturday Spotlight by Acicia Slaton and PrimeStar Publicity....

A young married woman with two daughters deals with her husband's infidelity and his struggle with homosexuality. She seeks spiritual counsel, but when he refuses to cooperate with spiritual leaders, other than on a surface level, she has to make the most important decision of her life.

This story, Acacia’s story, gives readers a deeper understanding of the pain caused by infidelity (for the spouses and their children.)  It also shows there is hope beyond the grief for those who put their faith in the promises of God.

This book, The Serpent Beguiled Eve,  will help anyone in a relationship. It's not just about infidelity. It's about moving on, with or without your partner. It's about dealing with the aftermath. It’s about learning to love yourself and truly understanding how the power of forgiveness can heal your life.

Excerpt: Chapter 12 The Spirit of Perversion (page 53)

David isolated himself more and more with his games, playing five hours a day on weekdays and more than fifteen hours a day on weekends.  I attempted to get him to agree to us reading the Bible aloud together each morning. Out of frustration, he threw the Bible across the bed and onto the floor.

I knew something was terribly wrong.  One night while I was asleep, the spirit of The Lord spoke to me in an audible voice.  He whispered, “It’s the spirit of perversion that has blinded his eyes and closed his ears to where he can’t see or receive the truth [the word of God].”  I awoke and looked over at David.

“David, the weirdest thing just happened as I lay asleep: the Lord spoke to me.” I repeated the words. David smirked and stared off into the distance.

“It’s funny you said that because your pastor told me the same thing,” he said.

The Serpent Beguiled Eve can be purchased in paperback at Amazon and is currently part of KindleUnlimited!

Acacia Slaton is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and also has a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  She is an author of an award-winning book titled Launch Out Into The Deep.  Launch Out Into the Deep is a recipient of a Mom's Choice Award, a Dove Award, and won the Silver Award for Christian Living in the Readers Favorite annual contest.

Find out more about Acacia by visiting her Website!

Thanks for stopping by friends! Hope to see you again soon.

#ThursdayThoughts: Knowledge + Experience = Value

We've all heard the old adage, "knowledge is power" and the many variations that go along with that....

The more you know the more valuable you are.
Knowledge & Experience = job security.

Yada, Yada, Yada.

But how many times in life are we REALLY paid our worth?

Better yet, how often do we charge what we're worth?

As a freelance writer/editor/promotions person I'm often faced with the issue of knowing what to charge. I know what the industry standards are, I also know how it is to need these services and yet not have the budget for them.

Add to that I love what I'm doing and I love helping people and well....there's a fine line that often gets blurred or crossed out altogether when it comes to getting paid for my work, my knowledge and my experience.
We've also heard..."Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life."

That's bull LOL! Most of us who do what we love work harder and longer than in a "normal" 9 to 5 job.

Just ask any self-employed/freelance/contract labor professional. Ask any teacher for that matter.

Here's the deal....as much as I love helping people and sharing what I've learned, my knowledge and experience ARE valuable and I deserve to be paid for doing what I love most!

Yes, like many people I too take advantage of free stuff....like royalty free photos which can be found at Dreamstime, videos and tutorials on YouTube, etc., but I always try to pay something....whether that's a simple acknowledgement and link back to the origin, a byline, or a gift/donation to the provider.

So when I offer my knowledge and experience to you like I have by putting these articles on my website, if you can pay then please do. And, if you ask for my services and I don't know what to charge or you can't pay what I would normally charge, at least offer something, pay what you can, and/or set up a payment arrangement and honor it.

After all, Knowledge+ Experience + Time are valuable.

Something to think about!!

PS: Speaking of FREE things...don't forget you still have multiple chances to win a copy of Circles of Fate! Details HERE.

#SaturdaySpotlight: Susan Coryell with Beneath the Stones!

Good Morning!

Today let's welcome Susan Coryell to our blog with her novel, Beneath the Stones.....

Q: What genre is BENEATH THE STONES?
A: Actually the novel is a stand-alone sequel to A RED, RED ROSE. Both are cross-genre cozy mystery/Southern Gothics.
Q: What are the outstanding themes in BENEATH THE STONES?
A: The major theme is that what happened in the past can come back to haunt us in the present. Layers of history--events, people, even emotions can affect us now and in the future.

Q: Setting?
A: Set at contemporary Moore Mountain Lake in Southern Virginia, BENEATH THE STONES reflects Civil War happenings at Overhome Estate where Ashby Overton lives.
Q: Tell us a bit about your protagonist, Ashby.
A: Having inherited Overhome Estate, her decades-old ancestral home, twenty-five year old Ashby deals with spirits from the past as she tries to save her beloved home from financial ruin and prepare for her wedding at summer's end. She is plucky, resourceful, optimistic, and increasingly aware of her sixth sense.
Q: Why would we want to read BENEATH THE STONES?
A: There are mystery, history, romance and ghosts. What's not to love?

BIO:
A career educator, Susan has taught students from 7th grade through college-level. She earned a BA degree in English from Carson-Newman College and a Masters from George Mason University. She is listed in several different volumes of Who’s Who in Education and Who’s Who in Teaching.  Susan belongs to Author’s Guild, Virginia Writers, and Lake Writers. She loves to talk with budding writers at schools, writers’ conferences and workshops. Her young adult anti-bully novel EAGLEBAIT is in its third edition for print and e-book, updated with cyber-bullying. EAGLEBAIT won the NY Public Library's "Books for the Teen Age," and the International Reading Association's "Young Adult Choice."

A RED, RED ROSE, first in a cozy mystery/Southern Gothic series, won a literary award with the Library of Virginia. BENEATH THE STONES, the sequel, was released in April of 2015.
The author has long been interested in concerns about culture and society in the South, where hard-felt, long-held feelings battle with modern ideas.  The ghosts slipped in, to her surprise.

When not writing, Susan enjoys boating, kayaking, golf and yoga. She and her husband, Ned, love to travel, especially when any of their seven grandchildren are involved.

Please visit Susan Coryell’s website: www.susancoryellauthor.com and blog: www.susancoryellauthor.blogspot.com or contact her on Facebook and Twitter.

Ashby Overton has everything to look forward to, including a promising writing career and her wedding at summer’s end. But, Overhome, her beloved historic family estate in Southern Virginia, is in financial peril and it is up to Ashby to find a solution.

Interfering with Ashby’s plans is a dark paranormal force that thwarts her every effort to save Overhome.  Supernatural attacks emanate from an old stone cottage on the property rumored to be a slave overseer’s abode, prior to the Civil War. As the violence escalates, Ashby begins to fear for her life. Who is this angry spirit and why is his fury focused on Ashby?

Mystery, suspense and romance flourish against a backdrop of Civil War turmoil and ancestral strife--where immortality infiltrates the ancient air breathed by all who inhabit Overhome Estate.

Excerpt:

Luke climbed down cautiously, the old boards of the steps groaning and
creaking under his weight. When he reached the bottom, he turned, held out
his arms and said, “Come on down, Ashby. Just go slow.”

“Not to worry. I’ve done this before,” I told him, reaching for the first
step with my foot. Carefully, I moved toward the bottom, one step at a time, leaning against the wall for support. I was half-way there when it happened—so suddenly that I had no time to react. Frigid air swooshed down on me from
behind, freezing my face so that I screwed my eyes tight shut at the same
time something strong and determined pushed against my back violently—so
violently that I stumbled, then tumbled forward, to be caught in Luke’s
outstretched arms from several stairs below.

“Whoa!” Luke exhaled from the impact of my body on his. “My God, Ashby.
What happened?”

I slumped against him, unable to utter a single word, my breathing shallow
and rapid. At last I found my voice. “Something pushed me, Luke. I don’t
know what—or who—but it was powerful and deliberate.”

Luke glanced up to the top of the stairs. “Nothing there. I’m going back to
the loft to look.”

I stopped him. “I doubt you’ll find anything.” I sniffed the air, expecting
a new infusion of foul odor. “And what would you do if you did find
anything?”

Just then we both heard it. Hollow, chilling, trailing away from us with
every syllable: “Go away. He’s dead. He’s dead. He’s dead....”

#ThursdayThoughts: Contests

Good Morning Friends!

In last week's Thursday Thoughts we talked about winning. Well today, I'd like to talk to you about the idea of contests.

What is it about a contest that thrills us?

Is it the possibility of winning something, anything--even if it's something we don't really want, need or can even use?

Is it the chance of getting something we really want for free instead of just going ahead and buying it?

Or is it simply our basic human nature of competition?

For authors and artists, is entering your work in a contest a chance for validation?

Perhaps its a combination of all of the above, but most of us enjoy a good contest. We must beware however, that our focus in life doesn't become a crap shoot of good when we're winning and bad if we aren't.

Something to think about!!

Speaking of Contests.... There are 2 going on right now with 5 copies of Circles of Fate up for grabs!

I sure hope you'll enter both the one on GoodReads & the one on my Website.

Be sure take advantage of the ways you can receive additional entries into the drawing!

Saturday Spotlight - Richard Paa Kofi Botchwey

Good Morning Friends,

It's been a long time since we had a Saturday Spotlight. As you know I've taken a break from regular blogging, choosing instead to update you on my life in a "nutshell".... so here it is.....

The Wordsmith Journal Magazine has grown by leaps and bounds! We've brought on a team of reviewers, a few more columnists, a new sponsor! I've uploaded the Oct/Nov issue (recreated), and the Feb & March issues up on Kindle, Nook & ISSUU. They are also available as a download from the site! I am working on the April issue as well as re-creating the Dec & Jan issues. Whew! One day I'll be caught up LOL!

In my last post, I mentioned that I submitted Circles of Fate to Harbour Light Books - well they requested a full manuscript! Seems like FOREVER since I submitted something new so I'm soliciting all the prayers I can get LOL!

This week I've been in Daytona Beach, FL for the NDA Cheer & Dance competition cheering on Stephen F Austin State University teams and I'm happy to report the Pom Team came in 3rd, Jack Attack (Hip Hop team) came in FIRST!  Large Cheer and Small Cheer were 2nd & 5th respectively - Go Jacks!

And that, my friends is my life in a nutshell!

Now without further ado...onto our spotlight.....

Richard Paa Kofi Botchwey is an ebullient multi-genre Ghanaian Writer, Poet, Speaker and a Photo Journalist. He has been writing since the age of fourteen and has several works in progress. He was born in Appiakrom, Bogoso in the western region of Ghana. At ages five and seven, he lost his father and mother respectively. But that did not discourage him; instead he encouraged himself to reach the top. Today, he is living a fruitful life and fulfilling his God-given purpose of being an answer to someone’s prayer or need. His poem, Life lessons was published in Rising Artist Magazine in April 2009 in USA. In January 2011, he was invited to read his poetry on Writer’s Project on Citi 97.3fm (citifmonline.com) and was welcomed with his poems: Kiss of Death, The Soon Drama and The Muted Island. He has also been on Open Air Theatre on Radio Universe 105.7fm with his inspiring poems: Give up Not, The Choice is within us, A Time comes & A Time goes and Today won’t mirror Tomorrow. Being an orphan has empowered him to rise and advocate for the orphans around the world. He is the voice for the voiceless and hope to the hopeless. He reminds you that, “When you keep blessing others, your light will keep shining.”

This book is about life. How painful and beautiful it can be. It is a lesson teacher as well as a comforter. It is an encourager as well as a chastiser. It is a journey through a storm with a triumphant ending. It is a book that can help change the world; a spellbinding memoir of childhood aching sadness and desperate humor. It is a testament which makes you believe, in spite of poverty and death, there is hope for the future. This chronicle of amazing triumph against all odds will help you understand life properly and live to be a blessing to the world.

Foreword
“The eagle makes its nest in the valley, knowing its wings will allow it to soar to the mountain tops.”

Rejoice for an orphan has become a king. From his pit of sorrow and anguish he has risen with a crown! The lips of the wicked have been silenced. Those who oppressed him are now speechless. Look God has done it! From his pit he has risen. His sorrow turned to joy. His pains turned to comfort.
The earth trembles. The angels rejoice. His friends sing to the Lord. An orphan made king! An orphan made king! The slaps were a sounding to the world of greatness. His beatings were a sounding to the world that he is blessed. Look he cries no more. The Lord has wiped away his tears. The Lord has wiped away the tears of his family.

They hunger no more. They sit at the table together to feast. The pestilence that once plagued them is gone. Their strength has been renewed. Their spirits have been made strong. No longer do they sleep on the streets. Abandoned buildings and gloomy huts they no longer stay in. For the Lord has made a king in their family. The Lord has made the weak and voiceless of the earth strong.

From the bottom of a pit a king has risen; to teach the world the way of the Lord; to be a light in dark times. The years of torment have passed him. Yes, blessings and prosperity is his now and forever. An orphan made king! An orphan made king! Give praise to the Lord for an orphan has been made king.
