Good Morning Friends,
My scheduled guest couldn't make it today so I'm taking advantage of the rare opportunity to showcase one of my own books, only this one isn't out yet.
In fact, it's not even up for pre-order.
However, I recently received the cover and I wanted to share it with you!
Love in Season is a collection of short romantic stories from Pelican Book Group. It contains 5 previously published stories (Cathy's Angel, Choices, A Hero for Jessica, Winter Madness & In His Sight), Review of Love (which was a free read through PBG but has been edited and expanded AND 2 brand new, never before published stories!
The Big Catch is about a couple who've found some uncommon ground....Fishing! Jeffery loves to be out on the water, casting a line and reeling in a keeper. Karla loves the outdoors and being on the water but just can't seem to muster enthusiasm for the sport. Will their separate views cause a backlash in their relationship?
After a few short years Sandi and Brett have succumbed to the pressure of trying to build a marriage on a relationship that began outside of God's will and competes with Brett's love of football. Can these two grow into the people God created them to be and have a successful life together? Find out in Lilies for Sandi.
I look forward to sharing more about this upcoming collection in the future, but for now, THANKS for stopping by! I hope you'll continue to check back for Tuesday Treasures, Thursday Thoughts and Saturday Spotlight.
Until next time take care and God bless.

#SaturdaySpotlight: Winter Madness
Good Morning friends!
My Saturday Spotlight guest was unable to make it so I thought in the heat of summer you might enjoy a little Winter Madness....
My Saturday Spotlight guest was unable to make it so I thought in the heat of summer you might enjoy a little Winter Madness....
Blurb: Sienna
has survived what most succumb to - the death of a spouse and child and has
maintained her faith despite her troubles. William has never met anyone who
actually lived out what they say they believe. Is it true love between the
faithful optimist and broody pessimist or simply winter madness?
Excerpt:
Her merry hazel eyes danced
with humor, but she simply arched an eyebrow at him without comment and rose
from her chair. She held a hand toward him. “Come on, I know what we’re going
to do today.”
He couldn’t resist the lure of her joy, and grinned as he
placed his hand in hers. “What are we going to do?”
“I’m going to show you the beauty and joy of life, if only
for this one day.”
Hope flared in his heart that she may be the one person who
could do what he considered the impossible. After all, he’d never really gotten
over her. Nor did he forget how she’d touched his heart so many years ago in a
way no other had since. They paused at the door to fasten their jackets and
slip on caps. She took his hand again and led him across the way and two blocks
down to a park on the other side of the street. The tiny wooden bridge they traversed
crossed over a creek and swayed under their feet. Sienna stopped midway to
their destination.
“Listen,” she urged.
He cocked his head. “What?”
“What do you hear?” He turned in the direction she looked,
stood still, and tried to hear what she heard. A smile tugged at his lips when
he turned to her. Her eyes were alight with joy.
“You hear it too, don’t you?”
“Tell me what you hear, Sienna.”
“Children laughing, the sounds of joy, of love, two things
that make this world go around are love and joy. A child’s laughter
encapsulates both.”
His heart melted another degree.
Winter Madness can be purchased at Amazon for Kindle or directly from Pelican Book Group!
Hope you enjoyed the spotlight, t's always a pleasure to share one of my own stories with you!
Until later.... take care, God Bless and Remember....when the going gets tough, the tough go dancing!

In Like a Lion ~ Out Like a Lamb
We've all heard that old saying about March....and that's exactly what's happened in my life.
The month blew in like a hurricane, two new releases (Winter Madness & Review of Love), two new acceptances (The Dog of My Heart & Dangling by a Fingertip), a sales blitz on The Inheritance!
On top of all this, after more than 6 weeks of pain, fear and trips to the emergency room, my husband has been diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. That's the bad news.
The GOOD news is: the condition is contained, it is non aggressive and the most easily cured. After his first treatment all of his test have come back GREAT and he's almost back to his old self ~ funny, happy, strong, positive. We are standing on the Name above all names ~Jesus~ His Blood and His Word that, this too shall pass and hubby will emerge the victor ~ healed and whole from the top of his head to the soles of his feet, fingertip to fingertip!
Please stand in agreement with us on this ~ Thanks Friends.
But the emotional rollercoaster and added responsibilties have left me exhausted (for lack of a better word) and in all honesty, I need to be writing and editing, not in a frenzy about blogging and networking.
As you know, my agent Les Stobbe is pitching my 2 complete WF novels, The Visionary & Circles of Fate as well as my gift/devotional book Love is a Rose.
You may not be aware that he is also pitching 2 novel proposals to Summerside for their Love Finds You line ~ this company buys on proposal which means I have 2 novels to write LOL!
So, I've decided to take a break and only blog once a week (instead of twice) in addition to the Saturday Spotlight (this week ~ Christy French) and to back off on hosting so many tours ~ only until I catch my breath and settle back into my routine.
I know you'll all understand and I THANK YOU for it.
Until later...Be BLESSED!

March Madness Sale!
Hey Friends!
In conjunction with my new release, Winter Madness, which releases Tomorrow @ White Rose Publishing, the Inspirational imprint of The Wild Rose Press, I'm having a month-long sale on The Inheritance!
Blurb: Sienna has survived what most succomb to - the death of a spouse and child and has maintained her faith despite her troubles. William has never met anyone who actually lived out what they say they believe. Is it true love between the faithful optimist and broody pessimist or simply winter madness?
Excerpt: They met on a cold winter morning in a cozy coffee shop. Not just the tinkle of the bell above the door announced his arrival, but also the quickening of her heart, the slow thud of blood through her veins, the sharp curl of need in the pit of her stomach. Even before she saw him, she knew the minute he’d walked in. A dream from her past.
He turned; their eyes met.
William’s eyes widened, and his breath caught. There she sat all soft and glowing. A ghost from his past. He hesitated, blew a soft rush of air to cool the steaming brew he’d just purchased. A sigh escaped followed by a resigned shrug. There was no way out of the meeting now. Only a few steps separated them physically, miles emotionally. One hurdle at a time, he thought, and joined her at the table for two beside the window.
Well that's about it for today. Until next time.....
Take care and Be Blessed!

Saturday Spotlight - Special Edition!
Hey Friends!
Meghan Shannon O’Malley lost herself in pools of midnight blue.
“I’m Rork,” the corners of his eyes crinkled when he smiled. He took her right hand and kissed the heart on her ring. “Single and looking, are ya?”
“Huh?”
“The Claddagh Ring, darlin’,” he kissed it again. “On your right hand with the heart facing outward, means you’re single and looking for romance.”
“Ah…I have no idea what you’re talking about; it’s just a ring, a gift from my mother.”
“Ah, come on now, darlin’ girl,” he got a little closer, staring into her eyes. “Ya can’t fool an Irishman. My mother bought one for each of my sisters. I’ll have ya know they’re all married.”
Meghan felt lightheaded. “My mother gave me this ring the night before she died. It’s a family heirloom, said to be blessed by St. Patrick himself. Mama promised me by wearing the Claddagh, everything in my life would come full circle. So before you go thinking I’m wearing it to find a husband, think again.”
“Do you believe in love at first sight?” his blue eyes seared into hers like lasers. “What do ya say, Meghan, darlin’ girl of my heart.”
Author’s note:
I visited Ireland a few years ago. Rolling green hills, coppery beaches—and whimsical castles straight out of fairy tales make up the rugged landscape of the Emerald Isle. The Claddagh Ring is very much a part of their culture and is carried on through legend and lore. The Irish have a strong sense of family. Their incomparable spirit is passed on from generation to generation by keeping simple traditions: Make your house into a home. Make guests feel welcome with a pot o tea or a cup o Irish coffee. Regale over good times, count your blessings—and never give up on your dreams. Miracles happen for those who believe.
Kim couldn't make it this week, but she'll be around in June with her new release so I decided to surprise Sharon Donovan and spotlight her new book, The Claddagh Ring!
“To live in the hearts we leave behind is to never die.”
Thomas Campbell
Blurb:
Struggling with her faith after her mother’s death, Meghan O’Malley finds comfort in wearing her Claddagh Ring, said to be blessed by St. Patrick. And when Meghan meets Rork, she finds love, loyalty and friendship. But before everything comes full circle, Meghan must face the biggest challenge of her life.
Rork McGuire is ruggedly handsome, sings Celtic music straight from his soul—and has a deep secret. When he sees Meghan O’Malley tending bar at her club, he falls hopelessly in love with her and wants to give her his heart. Will the secret he harbors pull them together—or break them apart?
Excerpt
As Meghan mixed drinks from behind the bar of The Wild Irish Rose, the fiddle and violin captured the true essence of Ireland. The tantalizing aroma of Irish stew, corn beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread wafted through the room.
Suddenly, all activity came to a halt as the eerie wail of bagpipes keened through the bar. The lead singer took center stage with his rendition of Danny Boy, the haunting lyrics crawling into Meghan’s skin. Mesmerized by his hypnotic blue eyes, she stopped what she was doing and met his penetrating gaze. With the exception of her mother, she’d never heard anyone pluck the strings of the harp with such finesse. The Claddagh Ring on her right hand felt hot, the heart pressing into her skin. By the time the song ended, Meghan’s green eyes were misty with tears.
“Well now, darlin’,” he touched her cheek. “If I knew Danny Boy would make you cry, I’d a sung When Irish Eyes are Smiling.”

Unexpected Blessings
I’m typing a series of sermons for my pastor in which he teaches that the love of God is eternally giving and is a daily, provisional covenant from which we should expect provision, favor and blessings. Psalm 68:19 tells us that God “daily loads us with benefits.”
Therefore, we should expect to receive good things from God – and I do!
But the unexpected blessings mean the most to me…a phone call or card from an old friend, a luncheon where I’m treated, finding money in the parking lot.
This week I received an unexpected blessing and not only did it make my whole week brighter, it made my whole Christmas brighter!
In August I switched jobs, new hours, same pay, new benefits package, but I NEVER expected to receive a Christmas bonus! When I was told to check my account and see if the funds were there – I got another surprise as it was far more than I ever imagined much less expected.
Many may know that I prayed for God to find me a “nice quiet office” somewhere and this job was all I asked for and even though I’d rather be home and not have to work, I KNOW He is providing for me and I’m right where I’m supposed to be.
Have you ever received an unexpected blessing?
I’d love to hear about it!
Remember – Dec. 15th is the deadline for the Sony E-Reader contest;
Cindy K Green’s Christmas Jubilee is this week only
The White Roses in Bloom are Celebrating Christmas ALL MONTH LONG and I'm giving away an ADVANCE copy of Winter Madness to one lucky commenter - so drop on by!
And don’t forget to come back Saturday when we’re Spotlighting Wendy Davy and her book A Matter of Trust.
Until later, take care, God Bless and remember….tis the Season to spread Joy!
Tempered Joy is available Now!

There's Still Time to WIN!!
Hi Folks!
Just wanted to let you know there is still time to participate in The Wild Rose Press's Sony E-Reader contest! I'm not the only author participating in this contest - there are fifty of us!
Here's the cover & blurb for my TWRP titles.....
The Inheritance is about the chance we all long for…the chance to start over. Widowed at age thirty-nine and suffering from empty nest syndrome, Rebecca Sinclair is overshadowed by grief and loneliness. Her husband has been deceased for a year, her oldest child has moved to New York in pursuit of an acting career and her youngest child is attending college in France. Having spent over half of her life as a wife and mother, she has no idea what God has in store for her now. Will an unexpected inheritance in the wine country of New York bring meaning and purpose to her life and give her the courage to love again? US Postal worker Raymond Jacobey has been in love with the little widow since he first set eyes on her. A wanderer searching for the ever-illusive soul mate, Ray has never stayed in one place too long. Raised by self-centered, high-power executives, he’s longed for the idyllic life of residing in a cozy house in a small town with the love of his life. Will he gain the heart of the lovely widow or will he lose her to the wine country of New York?
Best-selling novelist and songwriter, Camie Rogers has penned numerous accounts of the secret love she holds in her heart. Country-Music Superstar Kip Allen has changed from the shy, humble boy, to the epitome of “star.” Can the two rediscover each other after one night of his Home is where the Heart is Tour? Find out in Choices.
Single mom Cathy Johnson is tired of running her life alone…what she needs is a well-trained angel to help out. Jared Savoy gave up the dream of having a family when he discovered he is sterile. Can a confirmed bachelor and the mother of four find love amid normal daily chaos? Find out in Cathy’s Angel.
Anthony Paul Seville is known as the ‘most eligible bachelor’ in New Orleans, possibly even the entire state of Louisiana, but finds himself alone—completely and explicitly alone. Jessica Aucoin is a writer on her way to fame and fortune, but is haunted by a man from her past. Will the “champion” lawyer and the author of romantic suspense find love written in their future? Find out in A Hero for Jessica.
If you've already purchased my titles I THANK YOU!

New Contract!
Well Friends, who couldn't use some good news in the midst of a hurricane?
The Wild Rose Press has sent me a contract for my short story, Winter Madness!
Now as soon as the mail service is restored here in SW Louisiana, I'll get it out.
As I mentioned in my last post, hubby and I decided to ride out the storm at home. Although we did receive some wind and rain, we sustained no damage.
We'll get out and about to check on the homes of our family members who did evacuate.
For those who think staying home is not the wisest choice, let me assure you we watched the storm very closely and had everything prepared to grab and run should Gustav had shifted more west and strengthened.
Although we were prepared, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I believe we were also Divinely Protected.
On another note, my Friend Victoria Pitts-Caine has spotlighted me over on her blog. Check it out!
I'll be spotlighting Vicki later this month, so check back!
Until later remember....Under the shadow of His wings is protection and safety.
