#SaturdaySpotlight: Tara Elizabeth & United!

Hello from beautiful Niblett's Bluff park in Vinton, LA

I'm a little late posting today's Saturday Spotlight and I apologize, but my computer was out of commission yesterday afternoon and this morning. Actually I forgot it :-( but my daughter brought hers out to me along with my Angel Girl and Sugar Bear.

So, it I'm happy to be able to share today's Spotlight with you....a guest who's been here before, Ms. Tara Elizabeth with United, book 3 in her Exalted trilogy! Tara has been a regular guest the last few months as she shared all of her books with us beginning with Zoo, then Exalted and Denounced

In this last chapter of the Exalted Trilogy, Mena and her friends discover the meaning of freedom and the costs to keep it.

With Mena’s parents and friends missing, she and Ryker set out on a journey to find them and to warn the people of Toledo Lake about the imminent threat of retaliation from the First Republic. Things don’t go as planned, and Mena struggles to stay strong through all of her emotional perils.

New friendships form. Old friendships fade. War will do that to people—even the strongest of people.

Will Toledo Lake survive the wrath of Dr. Fredericks and his army? Will the Third Republic join in the attack?

Strength be with you, Mena.

Wow...sounds like an intriguing end to a thrilling trilogy!

United can be purchased at Amazon for Kindle and in paperback

Be sure and follow Tara, because soon you'll get to read RYKER'S JOURNEY is a companion short story for the Exalted Trilogy, and was first published in Journeys: Bayou Writers Group Anthology Volume 1 in September 2014.

Tara Elizabeth is a graphic artist, wife, mother, and Red Vine lover who writes Young Adult Fiction, mostly Dystopian/Sci-Fi novels with a splash of Romance and a hint of sarcasm. Tara grew up in the Deep South surrounded by bayous, magnolia trees, crawfish and great people and, as she says.... "My culture is a huge part of my life, and you can see some of those details in my writing."

You can find out more about Tara by visiting her WebsiteFacebook Page GoodReads Page and/or connecting with her on Twitter.

Hope you enjoyed the spotlight!
See you next time.

Good Morning from Pigeon Forge, TN!

Today is our last morning here. We'll head back to Louisiana sometime later and arrive home sometime tomorrow...but never fear, as promised, here's your Saturday Spotlight as we welcome Tara Elizabeth back with Denounced, book 2 in her Exalted trilogy!

Mena, an Exalted trainee, is the on the other side of a difficult choice: to leave the United Republic of the Saved with Ryker or return with Ethan and be United. Her decision changes everything . . . things she never considered. She has to overcome shocking realizations and tough challenges in the new life she has chosen. The people she thought she knew are not who she thought they were. Secrets come to light that were never meant to be known, by Exalted and citizens alike.

The truth about the Republic is worse than Mena thought possible. Though she struggles, she continues on her mission to save the people of the Republic from the emotion-controlling drug called the Pump and set them free. She will do whatever she has to do for them and the people she loves.

#SaturdaySpotlight: Tara Elizabeth & Exalted!

Good Morning Friends!

This week we welcome Tara Elizabeth back to our Saturday Spotlight with another of her wonderful books, Exalted (Book 1 in the trilogy by that name).

After the fall of mankind, the Exalted became the protectors of the people. As an Exalted trainee, all Mena ever wanted was to be strong, to serve and to fearlessly protect the people of the United Republic of the Saved. All Exalted feel the same. In fact, that’s all they feel. Only when Ryker, an outsider, crashes into Mena’s life, does she learn that people are meant to feel much more.

In this bleak future, set in what’s left of the southern United States, the trainees must compete in three Trials to earn their position amongst the strongest Exalted. In these Trials, female is pitted against female and male against male in demonstrations of weaponry, fighting and survival skills. The outcome: the United Ceremony, pairing trainees together for life based on how they place. The ultimate hope is to breed stronger Exalted and even better protectors.

Upon learning from Ryker that the supplement she's taken her entire life is actually an emotion-blocking drug, her path takes an unexpected shift. Without the veil of “The Pump” blocking her emotions, Mena struggles with competing in the Trials and with her new, confusing love life. She’s experiencing new feelings with not one but two different guys, will Mena choose to leave with Ryker and be free or stay with her childhood friend, Ethan, and be United?

Exalted can be purchased at Amazon in print and for Kindle!

#SaturdaySpotlight: Tara Elizabeth & Zoo (The Enclosure Chronicles: Book 1)

Good Morning Friends!

Well it's been a week full of books, The Eggcerpt Exchange is over but I am so very pleased to bring to you fellow Bayou Writers Group author, Tara Elizabeth!

Tara is a graphic artist, wife, mother, and Red Vine lover who writes Young Adult Fiction, mostly Dystopian/Sci-Fi novels with a splash of Romance and a hint of sarcasm. Tara grew up in the Deep South surrounded by bayous, magnolia trees, crawfish and great people and, as she says.... "My culture is a huge part of my life, and you can see some of those details in my writing."

A chronicle of my time living in a zoo . . . I'm not really sure where to start, and you may have trouble believing me even as I tell you my story. My family did. They laughed the first time I told them, so now I just say it was all a crazy dream. You see, I died in a totally preventable car accident . . . or so I thought. When I opened my eyes, I was shocked to discover that I had been resurrected into the year 2282 and, just as unbelievably, was locked up in a zoo! A HUMAN ZOO! Oh wait, I mean the People's Past Anthropological Center.

The Global Government created the Centers because all of the different cultures of the world had, over centuries of time, slowly absorbed into one uniform culture. Everything and everybody felt the same, and the world didn’t like it. So, to help the people of 2282 find cultures they thought worthy to live their lives by, they used time travel to zap the people of the past into the future. They created enclosures to house their live human exhibits. And that's what happened to me. I became a research project, a source of entertainment. I was a prisoner who was over two hundred years away from my family and friends.

Most of my time in the enclosure was spent trying to escape. I also made friends, lost friends, fell in love, was betrayed, was held captive within captivity, and lots of other fun stuff. There were some shocking moments and some devastating moments . . . It’s a lot to recount, but I’ll try my best to tell you all about my time travel . . . PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE.

I'm Emma, by the way.

Zoo (The Enclosure Chronicles Book 1)remained on an Amazon top 100 List for over a consecutive year and can be purchased at Amazon in Print and for Kindle!

Wow, that's quite a feat.

Hope you enjoyed today's Spotlight. As co-founder of Bayou Writers Group, it is always a pleasure to bring you one of our authors!

Well, Easter is winding down and I hope you've enjoyed the EggCerpt Exchange posts and I pray your holiday was Blessed, Happy & Holy!

Until later...take care, God Bless and Remember.... Jesus is the reason for EVERY season!
