#SaturdaySpotlight is on @kmdaughters and Fill the Stadium!

Good Morning!

I pray your weekend and Easter celebrations are going well.

Our guests today are not new to us. KM Daughters shared some thoughts with us in Feb and treasures in Jan and in both visits, we talked about their latest release, a WF novel, Fill the Stadium.

Well today you're getting a glimpse into the story!

So without much further ado...here are Pat and Kathie AKA: KM Daughters!

K.M. Daughters is the penname for team writers and sisters, Pat Casiello and Kathie Clare nee Lynch. The author name is dedicated to the memory of their parents, Katherine and Michael, the "K" and "M" in K.M. Daughters. Inspired by their father who wrote children's books for them when they were small and their mother's love of romance novels, K.M. Daughters was "born" in 2005 at a Romance Writers of America national conference when the sisters plotted their first manuscript.

K.M. Daughters has published twelve award-winning novels garnering rave reviews. RT Book Reviews magazine awarded a 4-star, "Compelling, Page Turner..." rating to BEYOND THE CODE OF CONDUCT, CAPTURING KARMA and ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE AND LAW.

RT Book Reviews awarded ROSE OF THE ADRIATIC 4 1/2 stars! "Fantastic...", and the final installment in the Sullivan Boys Romantic Suspense Series: IN THE ST. NICK OF TIME, rated 4 1/2 stars by RT Book Reviews - "FANTASTIC, A KEEPER".

THE SNOWS, an Amazon Kindle Select book is the author's first women's fiction novel with inspirational elements.

Nikki Lambert’s husband purposely stalls his truck in the path of the midnight freight on the same day her eldest son, Jack, is diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. Injured NFL quarterback, Ramsey Delaney is benched from his starting position leaving him ample time for more hands-on involvement in The Good Sports Club, a community center he established where Nikki’s sons, Jack and Rocky are enrolled. Jack’s deteriorating motor skills concern Ram’s employees who bar Jack from attending the club without Ram’s knowledge. Nikki wants nothing but normalcy for Jack and she heatedly confronts Ram for depriving her son of a beloved activity. Ram immediately reinstates Jack forging the fateful bond between Nikki and her boys’ number-one sports hero. Ram is instantly attracted to Nikki. He wants to win her heart more than he’s ever wanted to win a game. But after her husband’s terrible abandonment will Nikki trust Ram’s motives and open her heart to love again?

Excerpt:
John, I should have…Done what? Foreseen that John would ride off in the night after the Tylenol P.M. dose he had suggested finally worked on her? Understood that John couldn’t face a life without his son and begged him not to drive his truck onto the tracks and turn off the engine? This was no accident. He left her to raise their two little boys and to face Jack’s illness alone. The man that she thought she knew had turned his back on her with stunning, cruel finality. She had no idea that her husband was capable of something so monstrous.

FILL THE STADIUM, mainstream women's fiction, is K.M. Daughters' newest release and is available on Amazon in Paperback and for Kindle, Barnes and Noble and at All Romance Ebooks!

#ThursdayThoughts: Guest Post by @kmdaughters!

Good Morning Friends,

It is with great pleasure I bring back to our blog, KM Daughters who are sharing some very special thoughts with us....

As little girls we idolized our dad. He worked three jobs for much of his career to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. We didn’t have much in economic terms, but looking back on our childhood we agree that we had everything we needed and that we were rich in the love our parents lavished on us.

We couldn’t afford a car, so taking walks together as a family was major entertainment. Those frequent expeditions on foot taught us to appreciate togetherness and inspired our love of nature.
Another childhood joy inspired us – listening to the children’s stories Daddy wrote for us.

He carried a steno book everywhere with him and whenever he had a few minutes downtime, whether waiting for a bus or a break from one of his jobs, he wrote. His stories set our imaginations soaring.

Many years later we continue the tradition of walking and talking. On one of our sister walks, K.M. Daughters created the storyline for our first book, Reunion for the First Time (Coming in 2016 from The Wild Rose Press). Every book since has started the same way – walking together on Prairie Paths, along a sandy beach, uphill on mountain paths or suburban sidewalks like the days we strolled hand in hand with our father.

We can’t help feeling that Daddy is still with us on those walks inspiring his daughters to weave tales of their own.

#TuesdayTreasures: Guest post by KM Daughters!

Good Morning!

It is with great pleasure I bring you the following Tuesday Treasure....

Hi Pam! We are especially happy to be with you and your followers today of all days – January 26th. On this date in 2008 K.M. Daughters sold their first book to a publisher in the morning (JEWEL OF THE ADRIATIC to White Rose Publishing) and their second book to a publisher in the afternoon (AGAINST DOCTORS ORDERS to The Wild Rose Press)! It was a thrilling day for us as team writers and sisters.

After faith and family, sisterhood is a treasure that we prize. We have different personalities and very different life experiences, but the common history of being raised together by our beloved parents provides us with a bedrock of shared values and very similar ways of looking at the world with gratitude.

We believe that Faith is best defined as Love, with a capital “L” – healing, fulfilling, a treasure beyond compare. Those themes repeat in all our stories. The power of love in all its forms to heal even the most broken hearts is the central theme in our new book, Fill The Stadium. Per a recent review, “A touching, heartbreaking, yet inspiring story, with a bit of romance mixed in.”
Yes! This comment affirms our desire to satisfy and hopefully delight our readers. Our fans are treasures to us, also!

Noelle silently prays to receive the miracle of self-acceptance so that she might live normally despite her gnawing self-consciousness about her appearance.

When she meets the handsome Shane Thompson, his avid, romantic attention makes Noelle believe that perhaps miracles do happen in the quaint Adriatic village. The renowned maxillofacial surgeon doesn't seem to care that her hand is crippled and her face is scarred-that is until he claims he can give her "her miracle."

Saturday Spotlight ~ On Friday!

Hello Friends and welcome once again to Saturday Spotlight. This week I'm featuring not one, but TWO releases from White Rose Publishing! and since I wasn't able to post last Saturday due to the volume of work involved in moving - I'm giving you this week's spotlight a day early!

Last week's release is Return to Me by Deborah Pierson Dill and is available in Ebook & Print!
Leaving her was his worst regret.

Returning to her is his only hope.

Audrey Rhodes once walked the straight and narrow, but a terrible mistake changed the direction her life. Now former boyfriend and bad boy, Brent Thomason, is back in Blithe Settlement claiming newfound faith in God. Audrey's feelings for Brent haven't changed, but she has. Her life is in shambles. How can she be worthy of this new Brent's love?

Brent Thomason isn't proud of his past. Audrey had been his friend and his love, and he betrayed her. Now a veterinarian, he's returned home to work with Audrey's dad and make restitution for his misdeeds. Brent finds it's not so easy for people to accept his changed ways; still he must make things right with those he hurt, starting with Audrey.

As God directs their paths, Audrey discovers forgiveness is a two-edged sword...especially when she must first forgive herself. And Brent must accept God's will--even if it means losing Audrey a second time.

This week award-winning author-team, KM Daughters takes us back into the heart of the Adriatic where the sky is as brilliant as the sea and love abounds! In volume one of Gospa Journeys, join Emma and Sam as they discover faith, hope and love.

Despite Sam Mackenzie's deep-rooted belief that marriage can turn two loving people into monsters, his all-encompassing love for Emma Jordan spurs him to propose before leaving the country bound for Valselo, the Adriatic village where millions believe the Mother of God speaks to three visionaries.

Despite Emma's love for Sam, she is unable to envision a life in a remote town on a distant continent. Emma refuses his proposal and spends the next three years making a life without Sam. When she's left at the altar, a loving conspiracy between her parents and parish priest-Sam's uncle-brings Emma to Valselo and an inevitable reunion with Sam. God seems to be orchestrating a second chance, but both believe they have had good reasons to turn away from God's guidance. Will they listen to Our Lady's messages which call humanity to open their hearts to God's mercy and love? Or will they lose each other a second and final time?

Left at the Altar is available now!

Well Friends, that wraps up this (and last) week's edition of Saturday Spotlight. Stay tuned for more great releases from White Rose Publishing and who knows, I may throw in a different author up on Spotlight from time to time LOL!

Next week I'm hosting JoAnn Carter on her blog tour and after that, Kathi Macias on her's so you'll be getting lots of new books for your summer reading!

Speaking of summer reading...don't forget all of my titles are available on Kindle and Nook!

Until later....take care, God Bless and remember....when the going gets tough, the tough get on their knees.

Saturday Spotlight ~ KM Daughters

Hello Friends,
Please welcome back to our spotlight KM Daughters with their newest release, Capturing Karma!

K.M. Daughters is the award winning writing team of sisters, Pat Casiello and Kathie Clare. Their penname is dedicated to the memory of their parents: Kay and Mickey Lynch. Pat is married to Nick Casiello and has three children, Jen, Emilie and Brian. Kathie is married to Tom Clare and has two sons, Tom and Michael. She has two grandchildren, Natalie and Michael and a new grandbaby is expected in September. K.M. Daughters’ career began with two book contracts from The Wild Rose Press and White Rose Publishing on the same day – January 26, 2008. Three more book contracts followed in 2008 in three romance genres: Inspirational, Romantic Suspense and Contemporary Romance. The Visions of Love inspirational series features Jewel of the Adriatic and Rose of the Adriatic. The author’s romantic suspense Sullivan Boys series includes: Against Doctors Orders, Beyond The Code of Conduct, Capturing Karma and working titles: All’s Fair In Love and Law and In The St. Nick of Time.

Blurb: Veterinarian Matty Connors’ visions lead her to homicide detective Brian Sullivan again despite her resolve to remain anonymous the past four years. Her official work with the police in California resulted in the brutal murder of her fiancé, a recurrent nightmare she barely survives. The reputed ladies man of the Sullivan family, Brian has never given his heart to a woman until sultry Matty claims it. His black-and-white approach to solving crimes doesn’t jibe with Matty’s spooky pronouncements or her reputation for so-called infallibility. A wild goose chase searching for a murder weapon casts doubt on Matty’s “truths” and threatens their romance. Is Brian her nightmare slayer and ultimate truth? When the puzzle pieces fall in place for Brian, will it be too late to save Matty?

Excerpt:
“Hi,” he said, a single syllable that touched off a concussion of illogical pleasure inside her.

“Hi, Brian,” she responded, tamping down the temptation to hug him hello. “How’s the new baby doing?”

“Great, thanks. How’s that bump on your head?”

Matilda touched an edge of one of the butterfly strips over her eyebrow. “Turning every color of the rainbow, but it’s fine.”

He swiveled his head toward the throaty bark of the wolfhound in the corner of the room, then scanned the other occupants in the lounge: primate, feline, porcine, wolfish and human. “Steve told me you’re a great vet.
Looks like you’re pretty swamped here.”

“Shamus and I split the patient load,” she said.

“And Shamus is?”

“My brother. He came for me at the hospital yesterday?”

Brian’s eyes bored into her, a sexy smile twitched the corner of his lips. “Good.”

“And ‘good’ means?”

“The big guy isn’t competition. That’s good.”

“Ah. So we’re clear. What competition would that be?”

The sexy smile twitched again. “For but a smile from sweet Matty,” he lilted in an Irish brogue.

Squelching an impulse to grin, she molded her face serious and parroted a brogue, “Ah but woe to the knave who plies smiles with an untrue heart.”

She grinned now. “What can I do for you, Brian? Did you get an estimate to repair your car?”

“It’s about that letter you brought me. It’s related to a case. We need your help.”

Of course. “I gave you the letter. You know as much as I do. “ Her heart hammered, nothing to do with the pulse acceleration from earlier flirtation. I can’t go further with this case. No matter what I have to stay anonymous.

Capturing Karma is available now from The Wild Rose Press!

Saturday Spotlight - KM Daughters!

Hello Friends,

Please welcome back to our Saturday Spotlight ~ KM Daughters with their book: Past, Present and Forever

Unaware they share the same goal, Lizzie and Jack motivate Jack’s brother Charlie out of his despondency after the death of his wife. Lizzie and Jack both understand loss. Liz was jilted by her fiancé the same day her parents died ten years ago and Jack’s mother abandoned her small sons to life with a father who never recovered from the separation.

Now Liz faces the man who destroyed her at a college reunion, with Jack as her companion instead of Charlie who engineers the covert substitution. As Liz and Jack collide in the present can they overcome their pasts and find forever?

Excerpt: As he turned away to go take another look at those pictures, the front door burst inward toward Jack. Jumping back before it clocked him, he lost his balance as the female that followed quickly through the door did clock him in a soft collision of breasts against his chest.

“Ohmygosh, I’m so sorry.” Standing in front of him, a pretty blush spread on her lightly tanned cheeks.

“No problem…miss?” He backed up to give her space, shoving the front door closed.

“Lizzie Moran.” She held out a hand. “And you are?”

“Jack Clark.” He shook her hand, just skimming her knuckles with his fingers, a pleasant connection. So this is the famous Lizzie, now he was sorry for not meshing.

Beguiling smile, tender eyes, legs even better close up. On the skinny side, but appealing curves where it counts. Plus she obviously cares about Charlie and that means a great deal.

“Oh. Jack finally.” She brushed her bangs out of her eyes. “Mari told me so much about you. Nice to meet you.”

She bent her head and surveyed the floor.

“Looking for your dog?” He turned toward the back of the house joining in the search.

“Ah, yes. Marty. Marty!” she blasted.

Good lungs. His ears vibrated. The dog tore from behind him toward Lizzie with jubilant owner worship yips. Lizzie scooped up the little dog and let her lick the side of her cheek unhindered. Made Jack want to be a Boston terrier.

“Cute dog.” He couldn’t help but look at those legs.

“Thanks. Where’s Charlie?” She looked around nudging the dog away from her face.

“Taking a shower.” Finally getting Charlie up and about brought a smile to his face.

“No kidding?” Her deep green eyes widened twice their size. “What did you do, club him and prop him up under the water?”

Jack laughed. “No. But it crossed my mind.”

She turned toward the open door. “I have to run. Tell Charlie I came back for Marty?”

“Sure,” he agreed following her toward the door.

“Nice to finally meet you, Jack. And, thank you for whatever you did to make the difference with Charlie. I’ve been knocking my head against the wall trying to get through to him.” She smiled and turned slowly toward the street.

“Same here.” He stood and watched her walk the dog down the block. Mari, bless her heart, might have been on to something.

Past, Present and Forever – a contemporary romance is Available Now at sapphirebluepublishing.com, allromanceebooks.com or the Amazon Kindle store.

Saturday Spotlight - KM Daughters!

Please welcome back writing team, KM Daughters with their book Beyond the Code of Conduct.

Find out more at their website.

The Sullivan Boys series, Book 2FBI Agency brass and Sullivan family connections force Special Agent Bobbie Leighton into an undercover operation with inactive Homicide Detective Joe Sullivan. Posing as a cattleman and his arm-candy wife the couple is assigned to infiltrate Bradley Sterling’s illegal operation. Suspected of baby trafficking, Sterling may be connected with Jimmy Sullivan’s murder. How do Bobbie and Joe adhere to their professional code of conduct living under the same roof? Can they forget their personal history, ignore their volatile feelings for each other and ensnare their target when they might be next on Sterling’s victims list?

Excerpt: “You want hot? I’ll give you hot.” In one swift motion she picked up a mug off the table and whipped it towards him, a perfect strike.

Lucky for him he still held his jacket in his hand. He swept it up like a toreador in front of his face. The coat took the brunt of the hit, but hot liquid splattered on his hands.

“Ouch. Damn. Stop it.” He dropped the wet coat on the floor. His hands burned and he wiped them on his thighs to stop the heat. It had the opposite effect on his arousal. She batted her eyes around, apparently for something else to throw at him and tugged at the pillow on the back of the sofa. When it didn’t give, she hopped up on the seat cushion and tugged at it harder. If she realized how seductive she looked, she’d stop doing that. A glimpse of lace panties made him groan.

“Honey, add a sorority sister and a little water on the front of your T-shirt and you have everyman’s wet dream. You’re killing me here.”

The fury mounted on her face and he laughed.

She stepped down from the couch and stormed off to the kitchen.

“I’m sorry. I’m not laughing at you.” No response from the kitchen.

Gathering together the launched items, he stacked the books and magazines on the coffee table and tucked her shoes beneath. He kicked off his shoes and placed them in a neat pair next to hers before settling on the couch.

It’s fun to goad her. “While you’re in there could you grab me a beer?”

Realizing a little too late why she had marched to the kitchen, a plate swished past inches from his ear and crashed against the bookcase.

“Damn.” The next plate hit him in the shoulder. “What is wrong with you? Stop it.”

“What is wrong with me? With me? You take off. Leave me here alone to face the home inspection. And you are stupid enough to ask me what is wrong with me?”

Each sentence was punctuated with the crash of a dish around him. Hands empty, she disappeared again, surely on her way to stock up on ammo.

Beyond The Code of Conduct, Book 2 in The Sullivan Boys Series Released on May 20, 2009 in digital and print from The Wild Rose Press!

Saturday Spotlight - KM Daughters!

Hello Friends,

Well it's been 4 weeks Tuesday and a month yesterday that my husband passed from this life into the next. One thing I'm learning is the HEART does go on and FAITH in God and His promise of eternity help us (or at least me) go on. Again I'd like to THANK YOU for your continued prayers on my behalf and on behalf of everyone who loves Terry. May God bless you 100fold.

Today I'd like to welcome KM Daughters once more to Saturday Spotlight - this time with their book, Against Doctor's Orders.

Visit their website: http://www.kmdaughters.com/

The Sullivan Boys series, Book 1The Henna Housewife Killer continues to evade the police for the murders of red headed housewives. ER doctor Molly Jordon treats Detective Danny Sullivan when he's brought to her ER with a bullet wound. Molly has never had a carnal reaction to a patient before but Danny sparks so much heat in her, he appears in steamy dreams. A cop's widow and single parent, Molly is fiercely averse to the life of worry loving a cop entails. And Danny isn't any cop. He's the son of a retired Police Commissioner and one of six siblings who are all law enforcers. Danny thought that a cop's job and marriage didn't mix after his bitter divorce - until he meets the bossy, irresistible Molly Jordan who throws medical orders at him that he has no inclination to follow.

Excerpt: He saw pinpoints of light on his closed lids. “Wow,” the word gushed from his lips. He held her as she snuggled against his chest, both trembling in the aftermath.

“I hear bells,” she said.

“Honey, I hear bells, too. I think it’s your phone.”

His cell phone rang and they pulled back to look at each other.

“This can’t be good news.” He kissed her before he helped her slide off his lap, mostly naked and tantalizing, into her seat.

She dove for her purse.

They both dealt with the calls while they grabbed their clothes and wiggled into them.He fished an emergency beacon out of his glove compartment and set it on the top of his car. The rotating light washed the grass and tree limbs with red swirls.

“He’s hit again,” he said as he started the car. “We’ve got a live victim on the Eisenhower Expressway five minutes away from Chicago Regional.”

“I know,” she said. “They’re trying to patch me in to the paramedics now.”

He thrust the gearshift into reverse, tossed his arm over his seat and floored the accelerator. “Seat belt on?”

She nodded.

He backed the car down the path full tilt. Seatbelts strained as the impacts from the bumpy road jolted them in their seats. The tires hit asphalt and he slammed on the brakes. All the anti-skid devices in the car engaged with a mechanical moan and they fishtailed onto the road. He floored the car again and they took off.

He wanted to tell her what their trip to lovers lane meant to him. But there had to be time for that later. Not now. He could only think one thing. A break. This could be the break I need to stop the bastard.

He heard her calm voice on the phone as he wove among the sparse cars on the expressway and thanked God for the V-8 engine that blasted them down the road over a hundred miles per hour. “They’re there,” she said as she snapped her phone shut. “My team’s ready for her.”

Against Doctor's Orders is available in Ebook and Print from The Wild Rose Press!

Well folks, that wraps up another edition of Saturday Spotlight - please check back for more interesting authors and their books!

Until later take care and be blessed.

Three more book contracts followed in 2008 in three romance genres: Inspirational, Romantic Suspense and Contemporary Romance. The Visions of Love inspirational series features Jewel of the Adriatic and Rose of the Adriatic. A nightgown model and a soap opera star meet in Valselo, a Croatian village where millions believe the Mother of God appears to three visionaries. Yugoslavian born Maya Lidovic owns Intimate Whispers, a New York based sleepwear company. Determined not to lose her faith in a secular world, she spends her vacations leading tours in Valselo where her parents run an inn. Colin O'Reilly plays heartthrob, Dr. Brock Stone, on the soap opera Tides Of Tomorrow. Through various setbacks in life he's managed to keep God first. But now he's furious at God for taking his mother. Colin doesn't believe that God has sent the Virgin Mary to earth with messages of hope. He doesn't believe that God cares about the world. A series of apparitions, prophetic dreams and earthy attraction draw these different people together. Human frailties obscure the intention of the call that brought them to their destinies.

Excerpt: Colin swept her up in his arms again. "See you back at the house, Tom." She swayed and bobbled with the herky-jerky motion.

"You can't carry me down the mountain. I'm too heavy. You'll hurt yourself."

"Only if you keep wiggling around."He landed awkwardly, and her stomach dove. "Colin!" She buried her head in his neck. "I'm scared."

"Don't be. I've got you." His breath was warm against her ear. "Just stay like that, close to me. Keep as still as you can; it'll help me balance." He squeezed her tighter in his arms. "I'll keep you safe."

She breathed easier locked against him like that. She heard his heartbeat hammer from his exertion, and the steady drumming soothed her.

"I could get used to this," he said.

She raised her head slowly. "What, carrying people down all the hills and mountains in Valselo?"

"No." He smiled. "I could get used to having you in my arms."

She felt tongue-tied. What should she say? Should she admit that there was no place she would rather be? That she had never felt so safe and protected? She wanted to trust him but how could she after the sting of his display with Brianna?

"Wouldn't you rather have Brianna in your arms?"

"Brianna?" His baffled look gave her a jolt of pleasure. "Why in the world would you think that?"

He hopped down, and for a moment her legs and shoulders flew out of his hold. The freefall sensation was as unsettling as it was exhilarating. She could do this; she could confront him.

"She said you were in her room this morning, and that's why you missed breakfast. And she hung all over you on the path."

"I was in her room." Down, down some more, he didn't break stride. "She twisted the knob off the air conditioner and asked if I could help her put it back on. It took me two minutes. I don't know why she couldn't do it herself."

He stopped short and caught his breath. "Wait a minute," he said with a bemused expression.
