My New Venture!

Good Morning Friends!
As if I'm not busy enough, I've taken on a new venture as Ad Sales Representative for The Wordsmith Journal. This new magazine is geared to reach Christian readers, retailers, & music fans as well as libraries and other outlets for the Christian writer and musician.

We have already secured interviews with big house published authors to bring name recognition to The Wordsmith Journal immediately, including Kelly Hancock, Worthy Publishing, Deborah Raney, Simon & Schuster, Debby Mayne, Abingdon and authors from Zondervan. Additionally, there will be a featured article on Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys in the near future and guest columns from celebrities. Musically, we will be interviewing Rachael Lampa next week and will be meeting with the Gospel Music Association in the next few weeks.

As a reader, I'm constantly on the lookout for new books and great authors. As an author I know the million dollar question is and continues to be: "How do I reach readers?”

The Wordsmith Journal is one answer to both questions!

What readers will find in every monthly edition of The Wordsmith Journal
Entertaining articles & Inspiring interviews of authors, music artists, and leaders in the publishing and music industries

Information about new releases

Online Book club & Reader forums

The Wordsmith Journal Book Club (TWJ BOOK CLUBS) will feature one fiction and one nonfiction book each month and will be supported by online reader forums, local chapters, a network of sponsoring bookstores, and an annual Readers’ Pick Awards contest. Featured titles and the Readers’ Pick Awards will be highly promoted though online advertising, our extensive social media contacts, and via The Wordsmith Journal e-Newsletter. A music club, forums, and awards are also under development.

Advantages for Authors:
The overall mission of The Wordsmith Journal is to build relationships between authors and readers, with the prayer those relationships overflow in fellowship among readers over good books.

Understanding The Wordsmith Journal is a newborn babe, we realized we had an additional resource that we could use to maximize authors and musicians exposure along with the magazine by creating PDF catalogs each month of the books and music products advertised in The Wordsmith Journal and emailing them to our database of over 7500 retailers, libraries and readers monthly.
How does that breakdown? An author who advertises with The Wordsmith Journal receives in excess of 7500 impressions (impressions are measured by people who have access to seeing or hearing about a product) through the catalog alone. Think about it - a $75.00 ad being viewed by 7000 potential readers & book buyers (not to mention the music fans who will be visiting the site) = less than $.01 per person - guaranteeing you massive exposure for a minimal investment!

For Book Stores & Book Clubs:
There is no charge for bookstores to sponsor and/or host a TWJ Book Club. Sponsors will receive complementary downloadable posters, signage, and other promotional materials and helps as well as attractive discounts on the featured titles and a listing with a hotlink to their website on the sponsor page.
The first online edition of The Wordsmith Journal will launch October 1, 2011 and the print edition of The Wordsmith Journal, is scheduled to release in Fall 2012!

Well friends, I hope you'll join me in my new endeavor! For more information on this exciting new resource, email me at: pthib07@gmail.com and I'll answer your questions & send you the link and password to the mock website.
Until later....take care, God Bless and remember....a book opens the door to a whole new world!
