Ranch Update

Howdy Friends!

Okay here's what you've all been waiting for - an update from the beautiful Silver Spur Guest Ranch in Bandera, TX.

Been up here about 3 weeks and I'm lovin every minute of it. The work is not difficult, but after sitting behind a desk for 20+ yrs - I must say the physical exertion is exhilrating and exhausting.

We've got 3 new baby calves - all white. Here is a picture of one having his breakfast.

The swimming pool is great after a long day of cleaning or cooking. But horseback riding is the most fun!

As you can see the view up here is breathtaking....

Is it any wonder I feel closer to God?

Well Friends, that's a quick update. I'll be here through July so I'll post another update soon.

IMW, take care, stay in touch and remember....the kingdom of God is within.

Oh, gosh, I've never been to the Silver Spur. I hope there is a retreat there one day when I have published a romance and can go. If not, I'll get dear hubby to take me someday. Pam, the photos are just breathtaking. I would be the most close to God on the back of a horse riding into those neverending views. Enjoy the remainder of your time. Take notes and give us a romance that takes place at a guest ranch in God's Country. I'm waiting. Is it publihsed yet? Hurry . . .

The pics make me miss it too!

The calf is soooo cute!

It's so neat that you're there where you can be so close to God without the noise of the world all around...

HI Pamela,
I know we aren't supposed to be envious, but surely the Lord will forgive me for wanting to be there too. LOL
That calf is a sweetie but I wouldn't want to tangle with mom.
The pics are great. Have a wonderful time and get all that research done. We do expect a fabulous story out of this.

Wish you were here Tanya! If I have my way, I'll be a regular, part-time worker here at the ranch.

Oh, NONA, I wish you could come up while I'm here! I'll definitely keep you posted on my work schedule so maybe you can.

Thanks Angie, I'm enjoying my time here.

Life is sure much quieter and slower here than in the 'real' world, Donna LOL!

I'm sure the Lord understands, Rebecca, that sometimes we're not really envious, just wishful - I wish you could experience this place for yourself.

I know God is everywhere, and there are other, even more beautiful places to really seek His face, but for me, Bandera is just what the doctor ordered :-)

Thank you ALL for commenting!

Take care & God Bless.

Pam, this is my first visit to your blog. I love your pics. We've been through Bandera a number of times (used to live in Brady TX.) It's a beautiful area, and we considered moving there, but Mena AR won out because of the four seasons. I do love the Hill Country though.
