#SaturdaySpotlight All Christmas thru Christmas 2024

I've considered reinstating the Saturday Spotlight feature here for quite a while now and what better time to do so than Christmas?!

So, every Saturday through early-mid Jan., I'll be sharing great Christmas books with you, beginning with my very own, Keri's Christmas Wish.

Controversy and Inconsistencies are thieves of holiday joy for Keri...is there any hope for a happy holiday season?

For as long as she can remember, Keri Jackson has despised the hype and commercialism around Christmas—especially with the controversy over the time of Jesus’s birth. Will she get her wish and be free of the angst to truly enjoy Christmas this year?

Jeremy Hinton thinks Keri is a highly intelligent, deeply emotional, and intensely complex woman and he’s as fascinated by her aversion to Christmas as he is of the woman herself. A devout Christian at heart, he’s studied all of the world’s religions and homeopathic healing modalities. But when a rare bacterial infection threatens her life, will all of his faith and training be for naught?

Fans of near death experiences will enjoy this woman’s mystical journey into spiritual Truth.

Excerpt: She awoke in another dimension. Keri had no idea if she was in Heaven, but neither did she fear Hell. Her surroundings were reminiscent of a dense forest at dusk. Shadows danced against a sunset where brilliant colors bled from the sky. A light shone in the distance but as she moved toward it, Keri felt as though she plowed through molasses. Unease pricked her skin. The sound of water drew her deeper into the woods until she stood at the base of a vast waterfall and rapids so swift she dared not attempt to cross the river.

The light grew stronger, brighter. Beckoning.

I need to get to the light.

* * * *

I am 100% panster so when I sat at the computer with one scene in mind, Keri scrolling through her newsfeed and grumbling “bah humbug” over the ‘Christmas in July’ propaganda, I had absolutely NO idea where the story was going or what would happen.

I was introduced to Energy Medicine a several years ago and find the whole concept of healing the body – or actually the body healing itself by correcting energy imbalance–fascinating. Along with EM, I’ve discovered the power of positive thoughts and prayers (see: You can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay). Add to that, my belief in the afterlife and the books & movies affirming those beliefs, and well, this story practically wrote itself.

What is still amazing for me is that Keri’s Christmas Wish (published in 2016) was the first romantic story I wrote in its entirety after my husband passed away in 2009. Oh, I had things published that were already in the works, but other than a couple NF pieces, it was the first thing written from start to finish.

Thankfully, I’m in a much better place emotionally and other books/novellas/stories have and will continue to follow.

Keri's Christmas Wish finaled in OKRWA's 2017 IDA (International Digital Awards) contest and is available @Amazon in Print, Audio and Kindle and through other Online Retailers (Kobo, Apple, B&N, etc) HERE: https://books2read.com/KerisChristmasWish

Hope you enjoyed this peek into Keri's Christmas Wish and that you'll drop by each week for another edition of Saturday Spotlight.

#ThursdayThoughts Random Ramblings on Living an Authentic Spiritual Life

Good Morning Friends!

Today is a New Moon and that means new beginnings.

Jesus came so that He could make all things new. The Bible says when we accept Him, we are new creatures and we all know that God's mercies are new every morning.

We learn the Lord's prayer at an early age, but how often do we pray it out of obligation or just mumble the words instead of feeling the heart of them?

In fact, how often do we do that with every prayer about any situation?

While in meditation this morning I had this thought: I want to shine so bright that when people look at me they have to put their sun glasses on!

Shouldn't we all desire that?

We get so wrapped up in this physical life that we believe we're earthly beings having an occasional spiritual experience instead of the other way around.

We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience!

So how can we live an authentic spiritual life while here on earth?

The first and most important step is to decide to live, move, and act from that place of pure positive energy within you - live, love, think and breathe from your spirit or the place within you where the Holy Spirit resides.

Once you've decided to do so, ask for help. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Angels, Spirit Guides, loved ones who've passed over, are all there to guide us! Ask for their assistance. If you're afraid of meeting up with negative or evil spirits, ask Archangel Michael to protect your prayer time.

Meditate daily (or as often as possible). Don't get wrapped up in the woo woo of this. Meditation is much more simple than we make it out to be. Get comfortable, get quiet and focus on your breathing. Long, slow, deep breaths. If you have to, mentally repeat breathe in, breathe out or something else (Peace and Love, Joy and Happiness, etc.) Do this a few times then try to focus without using words.

When a thought comes into your mind, if it's a worrisome one - mentally say to yourself, "we'll think about that later, let's just sit quiet for now" and then go back to your deep breathing. If the thought is a good one, rejoice, get excited and happy and be grateful for it, but then - let it go and return to focusing on your breath.

The purpose of meditation is to clear and quiet your mind so that God can speak to you. And you'll know when He does. 10 or 15 minutes a day is easy to do and sufficient to produce tremendous results.

Last but certainly not least, become aware of how you're feeling in any given moment/situation. Ask yourself often throughout the day "How am I feeling?" "What am I thinking?"

Your emotions are a sure-fire indicator if you're living from your spiritual being (which is pure love, joy, peace, happiness, wholeness, etc., etc.) or from your natural man (which is worry, anger, frustration, etc.)

By becoming aware of our thoughts and feelings, we can choose better ones by - well, choosing - to focus on the love and light within us and others, and to let go and let God deal with the things we can't control - which is actually everything but ourselves and our own thoughts and emotions!

Does doing these things guarantee you'll never have a bad day or experience?

Of course not. After all, we live in a world where chaos has become the order of the day. What it does mean though, is by living from your spirit, you'll be able to navigate this life so much better and be a shining light for others to help them along their paths as well.

This picture says it all.....

Tuesday Treasure: Awakening the Harmony Within by Eugenia Oganova

Good Morning Friends!

I pray your Labor Day weekend was blessed, fun, restful & safe and that your month has gotten off to a great start!

Today's Tuesday Treasure is a VBT brought to you by Nikki Leigh Promotions.

Clarifying your Soul’s desires, and the setup of proper intention for their manifestation

Intent is a purposeful aligned design. Affirmations and self-programing are ways of intent-application in order to manifest a desired reality. Affirmation is a strong declaration. Programingis a sequence of command instructions from the Higher Mind. The Higher Mind then influences the lower mind, the emotional body and the physical body, manifesting what we desire. Manifesting our desires is guaranteed. But this guarantee has six “small print” clauses:

  1. embodying the truth that “I Am God” (for affirmations) and alignment with the Divine Mind (for self-programing);
  2. alignment with the perfect “Universal Timing”;
  3. precise wording;
  4. faith/ belief without proof;
  5. detachment;
  6. absence of doubt (facing/consciously transmuting the “internal Saboteur”).
And these six parameters are often the reasons why intentions do not work. Making a positive affirmation while having fears, worries, doubts and disbelief will achieve nothing. The same result will follow if an affirmation/intention is not continuous because we expected it to work immediately. If one is not detached while affirming (i.e. “know that it is”), it is very easy to manifest the fears of not getting what we want instead. If one does not comprehend, agree and embody as personal truth the knowledge that we are all interconnected, that our thoughts generate our perceptions and that there are Universal Laws that govern energy interactions, NO affirmation will work because its origin will be “too low” (instead of originating in one’s Divine Self, it will emanate from the lower mind).

This is why detachment is necessary for awakening. It allows us to release unconscious intense emotions, so we stop bringing these unwanted experiences into our lives. When detachment is mastered, intent is under our conscious command, and so is the application of intense desire upon request of our Higher Selves. Detachment does not mean “no desires,” instead it implies the knowing that any desire that is in alignment with the Universe is already fulfilled.

Intentions can easily be diffused by the “internal Saboteur”, a belief or memory that is opposite from that which we are stating. This “Saboteur” is a secondary pattern that runs parallel to the one we are affirming, thus they cancel each other out. One of the main “Saboteurs” to being in alignment with “I Am” Divine Self is the belief that we are only spiritual if we do “right, spiritual things”, like meditate, or do lucid dreaming, or eat a certain way, take vitamins, and many other limiting ideas we subscribe to.

An example of intent (program) that can override this pre-set self-judgment is this: “All my energy bodies, and my cellular body, are harmonious with the Universe. This is the truth in every moment, whether I eat, sleep, exercise, meditate or do anything else.” By choosing to program yourself with this intent, you are transmuting limiting feelings and thoughts.

of "Awakening the Harmony Within" by Eugenia Oganova

Awakening the Harmony Within: How to Create With Spirit by Eugenia Oganova delves much deeper and eliminates the fluff you find in so many books on these topics.  For people who want to make a dramatic change in their lives and want the full details on how to make that happen – this is a must have book. For more information about Eugenia Oganova and her work – visit her website and to get your copy today @ Amazon!

From the Author:  I have always felt myself to be “on a mission” of enlightment – for myself, others, and the planet. My clairvoyant abilities allow me to have an intimate relationship with Earth, the Galaxy, and the Universe, which have never felt far away to me. Being able to perceive the multidimensionality of universal energy, I live in a perpetual experience of Source’s Light/Code in every moment, parallel to regular life’s circumstances, thoughts and feelings. The holographic nature of our reality was apparent to me from birth, and the exploration of that hologram became my life’s work.

I have studied science, history, archaeology and astronomy in Russia and in the U.S. and have a BFA degree from the Art Institute of Boston. I am an autodidact in anatomy and biology, nuclear physics, archaeology, ancient history and mythology, metaphysics and Theosophy. I now live in Maine with my husband, and have a company called Pravda, Inc. (which means “truth” in Russian). For over twenty years now, using my ability to see and read energy, I help people figure out solutions to many life’s challenges through my books, seminars, and private sessions. Read more from Eugenia HERE.

Thursday Thoughts...What If?

What IF.......

               .......That never ending spiral of thoughts that don't ever seem to get resolved....

What if such and so hadn't happened?
What if this or that happens?
What if he/she hadn't said that
What I'll say if......

Jesus taught us to pray "give us this day our daily bread." He told us not to worry about the future .... what good does worrying do, does it add one more hour or one more day?

And we know worrying will never change the past.

So what are we to do?

What if...for just one day we live in the moment...this moment, this day. Let us take captive any thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (love) and eradicate it from our mind (2 Corinth. 10:5) and in it's place let us consider not only our blessings, but how we may bless someone else.

Often times we think of blessing someone as giving them something... What if the only thing you can give is a heartfelt prayer on their behalf?

Seems like such a small thing. But what if that small thing...multiplied by millions of people...actually changed the world we live in?

Let us not despise the little things we can do to bless and honor our God and His creation!

Until later remember....Don’t allow the world outside and around you poison the beauty within.
