Hello, readers! After an exceptionally cold winter, I’m so glad spring is finally here. Having moved to North Carolina 4½ years ago after living in Florida most of my life, I’m still acclimating.
My name is Carol J. Post, and I write Christian romantic suspense stories, mostly for Harlequin’s Love Inspired Suspense line. I’ve always loved writing. (I was one of those weird kids who enjoyed doing book reports and research papers in school.) I didn’t consider writing for publication, though, until I was almost 40. After a lot of starting and stopping over the next decade or so, I finally got “the call” from Harlequin, and my first book was published in 2013.
I am currently working on the sixth and final book in my Canine Defense Series. Each book features a working dog—police, search and rescue, and an emotional support dog through K-9s for Warriors. The dog in the sixth book is trained in and search and recovery (human remains detection). I’m basing him on a white German shepherd that my critique partner bred many years ago who went on to work 9/11. His name was Jerry, and he is featured in the book Dog Heroes of September 11th.
The fourth book in the series, Witness Safeguard Mission, will release April 28. The first three books feature the Ashbaugh sisters, and the last three feature the Feldman siblings, so if you haven’t read the first three books yet, this is a good place to jump in.
