Memories

Hello Friends,

I've received numerous sympathy cards over the past month and all of them touched my heart in some way or another - EACH one is GREATLY appreciated. One however, titled Let There Be Memories, seemed to resonate within me. I'd like to share it with you now along with some photos of me and Terry.

Wedding Day - June 14, 1992
Let there be memories - fond recollections of special occasions and everyday things. Let your heart start on its journey to healing by feeling the comfort remembering brings.

Summer - 1993
Let there be memories - pictures, mementos and favorite stories both funny and sad. Let your mind wander the paths of remembrance, reliving the joys and the good times you've had.

Christmas party - probably around 2000
Let there be memories - signs that our loved ones remain near in spirit long after they're gone...tender, surprising, hearwarming, and welcom-sweet proof of the promise that love will live on.

Summer 2005

These lovely words were written by Linda Barnes, the card of course is a Hallmark - because when you care - you send your very best.

Remember - God sent HIS very best when He sent Jesus to save the world (that means you and me!)

He sent His second best when He sent Terry into my life. For that I'll be forever grateful.

In loving memory.....Terry L Thibodeaux, Sr - 11/29/1952 - 8/18/2009...I'll treasure you in my heart forever, My Love.....

Once again I'd like to THANK YOU ALL for your continued prayers and positive thoughts as I transition into the good plan - the future and hope for my good not my destruction - God has for me.

Thank you for allowing me to share these memories with you.

*Note* this is NOT an attempt to plagarize - I give FULL credit for the beautiful words contained within this blog post to Linda Barnes and Hallmark (R) - I only wish to share them along with my memories.

That's beautiful! Thank you for sharing the warm memories and pictures of your love. He'll be there waiting for you when you get to heaven. In the mean time, there's still work to be done here - words for you to share that might guide someone else toward those pearly gates. Yes, God has a plan for you. We will all be here right beside you as you travel this new road.
Love you!
Donna

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've recently had two losses in my life, so know how hard it is. But knowing our loved ones are happy in heaven is our consolation.
Keeping you in my prayers,

Absolutely beautiful blog, Pam - I'm so sorry for your loss, and please accept my deepest sympathy and cyber hugs. You're strong in the Lord's love and faith - you'll be okay - but remember, when you're feeling the pain and loss, that's okay, too. God bless!!!!!

Fill yourself with those memories, they are so beautiful. From Terry's close up picture I would first guess he was fun, had a great sense of humor and laughed a lot.
He also has that imp look on his face. He liked to tease and joke around. Plus he looks happy, like his life is exactly what he wanted it to be. How great is that?
You will always have him.
In your heart.
Big hugs for Pam and lots of them!

You're right Mary, he loved to tease and joke, never met a stranger or someone beneath his respect and would give you the shirt off his back.

He'll always be in my heart....like the song from Titantic.....You are safe in my heart and my heart will go on....

Thank you, EVERYONE!

Pam, I know you don't know me (I'm a very new author at TWRP), but please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your beloved husband, Terry. Your tribute to him here was simply beautiful and my heart goes out to you. Take care knowing that God will indeed give you the strength to get through this next, most difficult, phase in your life.
((HUGS))
Sincerely,
Tess Thieler

Thank you for sharing this tribute to your beloved husband Pam - your memories of him will keep him alive in your heart and he will always be with you.

When I lost my dear first husband, several years ago, it was the prayers and tributes of friends that helped me get through that dark time. I am sure that the love and support of your many friends will help you in the same way.
Hugs
