#SaturdaySpotlight is on Tanya Hanson & Royalty at the Ranch!

Good Morning and Welcome to the LAST post of 2022 and the last of our All Christmas thru Christmas feature.

Today we welcome Tanya Hanson back to our blog. It's been quite a while since Tanya visited but I'm excited to share with you her latest Christmas novella, Royalty at the Ranch which takes place on Hearts Crossing Ranch! Take it away, Tanya....

Merry Christmas, fillies and friends! My years in the Petticoats and Pistols corral are among my happiest writer memories, and best of all are the authors here who still help support my books. I specially need to thank Pam today for letting me piggy-back on her post—I’m flying home from Hawaii (a lock-down trip we had to use now or lose), so I won’t be able to comment…but anybody interested in receiving a complimentary arc to read and afterward leave an honest review at Amazon etc, please email me at tanhanson@aol.com

Now, I know these are busy days, but Royalty at the Ranch is a short and sweet faith-based (but not judgey) Christmas e-story. How can a prince also be a cowboy? Well, “Brodie” is incognito at Hearts Crossing Ranch until dedicated royal-watcher Addie him…but knows he’d never be interested in her. Too many scars from a childhood accident. Will she ever be surprised!

I so enjoyed creating my fictional kingdom of Dornfeld and naming my cowboy prince after our little Danish grandson. His mama was our exchange student when she was fourteen. Now married with a family of her own, she still calls us Mom and Dad! Although no DNA, she’s always the daughter of our heart!

Wishing you all tons of holiday blessings!

~Tanya

www.tanyahanson.com

A handsome prince spending Christmas incognito at her family' s ranch? Addie Metcalf' s royal-watching heart is thrilled! She recognizes “ Brodie” right away, but scars from a childhood accident assure her he' ll only be a friend. Besides, he' s not interested in trusting God, and that' s a deal-breaker for Addie. Life at Hearts Crossing Ranch is as much about faith as it is about love.

Recently graduated from college, Prince Anders longs to work in underdeveloped countries helping with sustainable agriculture programs. When he meets Addie, and discovers she' s studying health sciences with the goal of helping out communities after major disasters, he' s enamored. He never thought he' d meet someone with such similar goals... but Addie' s a Christian, and Brodie left that behind when his best friend died.

Will the Lord work a miracle and bring these two together before the last Christmas snow melts at Hearts Crossing Ranch?

Tanya Hanson lives on California's central coast with her firefighter husband. Her passions are travel, family, and volunteering at the local horse rescue. She loves cowboys so much she took a wagon train trip around the Tetons. Find out more about Tanya by visiting her website: www.tanyahanson.com and/or Amazon Author Page.

#ThursdayThoughts: #EggcerptExchange with Kathleen Rowland @RowlandKathleen

Hello and Welcome to another edition of Thursday Thoughts featuring an Eggcerpt Exchange. This week's guest, Kathleen Rowland is new-to-me and therefore new to this blog so without further ado....

Here's Kathleen!

Book Buyers Best finalist Kathleen Rowland is devoted to giving her readers fast-paced, high-stakes suspense with a sizzling love story sure to melt their hearts.  Kathleen used to write computer programs but now writes novels.   She grew up in Iowa where she caught lightning bugs, ran barefoot, and raced her sailboat on Lake Okoboji.  Now she wears flip-flops and sails with her husband, Gerry, on Newport Harbor but wishes there were lightning bugs in California.

Kathleen exists happily with her witty CPA husband, Gerry, in their 70’s poolside retreat in Southern California where she adores time spent with visiting grandchildren, dogs, one bunny, and noisy neighbors.  While proud of their five children who’ve flown the coop, she appreciates the luxury of time to write while listening to demanding character voices in her head.

Find out more about Kathleen by visiting her Website and/or Blog and connecting with her on Facebook and Twitter!

Now about Kathleen's book, Deadly Alliance....

Finbar Donahue, former Army Ranger, walked on the wild side in Iraq, but now he lives in the shadows. After his evasive partner, Les, was shot in a random drive-by, Finn discovers cash is siphoned monthly. He fights to keep his investment company afloat. When the late partner’s girlfriend, Amy Kintyre, applies for his bookkeeping job, Finn suspects she knows about his company drain and hires her.

Amy needs a nine-to-five with free evenings and weekends to get her fashion design business back on track. She unearths Les’ s secret bank account and alerts Finn. Freezing of the money laundering account sets off havoc within an Irish gang. Amy witnesses a gang fight between a brutal ISIS fundraising organization and the Irish. Desperate to escape a stalker’s crosshairs, she seeks refuge with Finn. As danger heats up, sparks fly hotter.

Eggcerpt:

Amy entered the bathroom and faced a door opposite, the entrance to the Harp Hotel on the Lake. No wonder this bathroom was elegant. Waffle towels and an assortment of fragrance mists, lotions, and a milk-glass, soap pump sat on a green-marble counter next to a vintage-looking faucet. If she weren’t in a hurry, she’d spray herself with the cologne in the shamrock container.
There were two large stalls, and she peeked under the shiny white doors to make sure she wouldn’t intrude upon someone. After making sure it was empty, she headed in and hung her little handbag on a hook. About to use the toilet, she heard muffled voices. Wasn’t she alone?
Glancing upward, she spotted a vent. The voices came from a room in the hotel. Did she hear strong words?  She stepped onto the toilet seat and stood on tiptoes, straining to raise herself even higher. As she peered through the vent, she realized she was looking over a balcony and onto a large conference room. This bathroom, on the second level of the parking structure, was level with the hotel’s mezzanine.
About twenty feet below, the marble floor gleamed up at her, but the scene was far from friendly business. A half-dozen men wore turbans and black, body armor with the Takbir insignia embroidered on them. The symbol, hard to ignore this year, was white Arabic writing on their rolling-sand motif flag and displayed with every hostage crisis. Flowing robes extended half-way below their shins.
The robed men surrounded four men seated with their hands on a round table. These men were held captive, she was certain. The two facing her wearing Claddagh rings on their third fingers had visited Les. The rings married them, molded them into a brotherhood. Whether they wore suits or the Levis they’d worn on their visit, they bound together by a code of violence and silence.  For years the Waterfront Roached remained an impenetrable and unstoppable force. Until now.
The Irish Mafioso appearance was as easy to recognize as the Takbir terrorists. In her hometown of Long Beach, the Waterfront Roaches went about their business in match-match suits. The Irish Kings of Cocaine ruled the warehouse district. After scrutinizing the backs of the other two suits, one wore a fedora identical to the Irish mobster at the coffee shop. Next she zeroed in on the other man with slicked back, silver hair who’d visited Les at their condo.  Was  an Islamic gang taking over the Irish mob’s territory?
Fearing they’d see her, she cringed, but the thugs were far below. Concentrating, she tried to make out what was happening down there. She looked through the vent.  A sword gleamed upward.
Now let's find out a little more about Kathleen's hero.
Do you have a nickname? Finn. My full name is Finbar Michael Donahue.
What actually is your job? I own my own investment company, but who’s the chickenshit stealing money from me?
What is your level of education? I have a B.A. in finance, former Army Ranger. That was when I targeted the enemy.
Take note readers: Deadly Alliance has been reviewed as EROTICA and can be purchased at Amazon.

Hope you enjoyed today's Eggcerpt Exchange. Remember all of the books are on my Pinterest board so if you want to follow this blog hop, check it out. Be sure and come back Saturday for our Spotlight with Tanya Hanson and check back weekly for more Tuesday Treasures, Thursday Thoughts and Saturday Spotlights!

#ThursdayThoughts: Winning

Good Morning Friends,

My guest for today was unable to be here so I thought I'd take a moment and talk about winning.

We're programmed to win in many areas of our lives and sometimes taught to do so at any cost.

But I wonder, is this always what's best?

What values are we teaching if we put more emphasis on "winning" than personal growth and development or building relationships, compromise and compassion?

Something to think about!!
"Inspirational with an Edge!" (tm)

Speaking of winning .... the winners of American Sniper box sets are....

Tanya Hanson and Patricia Preston!

Congratulations Ladies and Thank You to EVERYONE who visited and commented on the blog post.

Until next time...take care and God Bless!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well today is the one day set aside as a nation to show our thanks to the Lord for His bountiful blessings - and a great day it is--although I'm a firm believer Thanksgiving should be expressed every day!

Anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one knows the holidays are most bittersweet; the joy of living tempered by sorrow of living without that/those special one(s). This is the third Thanksgiving without my husband  and yet, I have a LOT to be thankful for!

One thing I am eternally grateful for (besides the love & support of my family) is the love and support of you, my dear reader friends and I pray God's richest blessings upon each and every one of you!

Saturday Spotlight ~ New Release from White Rose Publishing!

Good Morning Friends!
I usually have my spotlight up earlier than this, but better late than never I say - LOL! - but first my life in a nutshell.....

As you know from my post last week, reviews for The Visionary are starting to trickle in. In fact, I sent out another ARC this week! Still waiting on cover art - per my wonderful editor at Five Star, the artist hasn't gotten the 'feel' for it yet but he's working on it.  As an artist myself I understand exactly what he means, and how thrilling finally getting that 'just right feel' so I'm asking you to be patient with me while he perfects the cover and I promise to share it with you as soon as I receive it.

I've been home for a week now and am enjoying my visit with friends & family - been doing a lot of reading....inspiring non-fiction and wonderful, heart throbbing romances - and my fingers are itching to get back to work! Oh the joys of creativity!

Well enough about me....now on to our spotlight.....
This week, Tanya Hanson brings us an intriguing tale of secrets and love. What happens when a P.I. falls for the woman he's hunting? And what if she's nothing like he expected, everything he's always wanted, and pushes him towards a faith he's long since forgotten?

After her husband's financial crimes and suicide, Caffey Matthews leaves behind her wealthy Manhattan life—knowing her husband’s enemies are in pursuit. Frightened and alone, Caffey hides her identity and finds succor in the remote California ranch land, which helps her to reclaim faith and trust in God.

Believing Caffey is involved in her late husband's misdeeds, cowboy-turned high-priced private investigator Rhee Ryland arrives in Rancho Lorena ready to haul her back to justice. He doesn’t expect to fall in love with her. Even more surprising is his return to his childhood Lord.

Oh wow! Sounds like another great romantic suspense from White Rose Publishing! Faithful Danger is available now so Downlad it today and while you're at it, check out Tanya's other titles and visit her website & blog or find her over at Petticoats & Pistols.

Well friends, that wraps up another edition of Saturday Spotlight - hope it was worth the wait!

Until later....take care, God Bless and remember...exercise your faith - walk with God!

Good Morning Friends and welcome to another edition of Saturday Spotlight where I share with you to another great new release from White Rose Publishing.

But first.....my life in a nutshell.....I received the advance review copies (galley) on The Visionary and have been working with the cover artist all week on finalizing a cover! I've started emailing pdf copies of the ARC for review and sending out print copies of it also. So watch in the near future for more on this blog...I'll be posting the cover once it is done and then reviews as they come in. I'm also putting together a blog tour for Nov 16th through Dec 15th - so if any of you have a blog and would like to host me, PLEASE email me! Also, I finished my short story, Lori's Redemption and submitted it to WRP so I'm waiting to hear on that. Still working on edits of Circles of Fate too (amidst other editing/promo projects LOL). Well that's my life in a nutshell so now on to our spotlight!

Cowboys, ranches and romance...is there anything more alluring? This week we're pleased to bring you the next installment in the Hearts Crossing Ranch series. The talented Tanya Hanson corraled us with Hearts Crossing Ranch and melted our hearts with Redeeming Daisy. Now she pins us with the soul-wrenching story of a man who has to fight for his life and love...and the woman who gives him the strength to survive.

A beautiful plus-one at a wedding, a hunky cowboy..autumn leaves and rugged horse trails. The perfect setting to unite two healing souls...

Ranch foreman and single dad Hooper Martin is ready to put his health and life back on track after battling cancer...including re-entering the dating scene. His little girl sure could use a mother. Falling hard for wedding guest Malia Cameron makes perfect sense to him: she's a survivor, too.

Mallie has put her heart on hold, knowing she will never recover from her struggle with a brain tumor. She can't promise a future to anybody and vows never to fall in love. Letting Hooper Martin into her life would be a big mistake. But his good looks take her breath away, and his living faith starts to gentle her confusion about Who's really in charge.

Two New Releases from White Rose Publishing!

Hey Friends,

Well, I've fallen behind on posting as usual - aarrggghhh - but here I am and today I'd like to mention TWO new releases from White Rose Publishing!

First is Hearts Surrender by Marianne Evans.....

White Rose Publishing said, "When we published the winning story of the Hearts Crossing contest we never dreamed the hit story would become a complete series...but here we are, happy to release Hearts Surrender, Book 2 in the Woodland Series. Come learn what happens at Woodland Church when Daveny's best friend, Kiara, falls in love with Pastor Ken."

BLURB: Kiara Jordan is a sophisticated modernista, but beneath an engaging personality and super-model looks, her heart hungers, and she longs for deeper meaning in her life.

Ken Lucerne is the charismatic young pastor of Woodland Church; he's adjusting to life as a widower and copes by keeping as busy as possible with his parish and missionary work.

A home-building mission in Pennsylvania brings them together, and forces them to look hard and deep at the relationship they share, and where God means for it to go. Already bound by mutual respect and caring, love dawns, a love that takes them to a life-point neither would have expected.

After all, can a chic, vivacious woman find fulfillment within the quiet, mission-centered life of a clergyman? Can they trust God's hand strongly enough to surrender their hearts to one another...forever?

Hearts Surrender is available NOW from White Rose Publishing!

Next up is Redeeming Daisy - another Martin family romace from Hearts Crossing Ranch - by Tanya Hanson!

Veterinarian rancher Pike Martin has no choice but to advise putting down Daisy Denmore’s fatally ill dog, but she swears it's revenge for her mistreatment of Pike's brother years ago. Although stung by her insult at his professionalism, Pike finds himself drawn to the troubled woman who flounders in faith and aches for love and acceptance.

Costly mistakes have sent Daisy down an unrighteous path. Abandoned by her ex-husband, humiliated and broke, she has no choice but to return to her parents’ home in Mountain Cove, Colorado. As soon as she saves enough money, though, she'll be gone. Until Pike Martin's soft voice, caring manner, and downright empathy for her wounds tempt her to stay.

With God on his side, can Pike help Daisy along the path to forgiveness, trust, and whole-hearted love?

Redeeming Daisy is available NOW at White Rose Publishing.

Wow! Bet the powers that be at WRP never realized what a HIT the "Hearts Crossing" contest would be and how many wonderful stories would come out of it.

Well friends, hope you enjoy finding out about these new releases - can't have too much romance LOL!

Until later...take care & be blessed!

Special Spotlight - Tanya Hanson!

Hello Again from Bandera, TX!

I know I promised you a blog post from the Silver Spur and I'll get to it - Promise! But today I wanted to share with you a special spotlight.

Tanya Hanson writes historical western romances and is one of the fillies at Petticoats and Pistols. I've known Tanya only through the internet until The Wild Rose Press "Saddle Up & Write" Retreat - where we met face to face!

Tanya's book, Hearts Crossing Ranch was the runner up in White Rose Press's Hearts Crossing contest - and although she didn't win the contest, she was offered a contract - and thus, her FIRST contemporary inspirational romace hit the virtual shelves on June 4th!

So without much further ado, here's Tanya......

Tanya Hanson lives on California’s central coast and enjoys travel with her firefighter hubby. Next up is a wagon train trip around the Tetons, hence the inspiration for Heart Crossing Ranch’s setting. Her career as a high school American Lit teacher helped with insights for Kenn Martin, hero of the story.

Multi-published in mainstream Western historical romance, she began to seriously consider inspirational romance during her husband’s near-fatal illness two years ago. Grateful to the Lord for her guy’s return to full health, she also lauds Him for the “Hearts Crossing Contest” which gave her the opportunity to combine her love of the West with Christian themes. Sincere thanks go to editor and artist Nicola Martinez for the beautiful cover design and for acquiring Tanya’s contest runner-up. When she’s not plotting stories about Kenn’s seven siblings, she’s busy spoiling her three-year old grandson, the newest love of her life. Find out more about Tanya and her books at her website: http://www.tanyahanson.com/

A beautiful city slicker and a rugged cowboy…The perfect Wild West adventure.

Cowboy Kenn Martin bears the guilt for allowing a coach to ruin his younger brother’s bright athletic future. Feeling unworthy of any happiness, he’s lost his faith in relationships and in God. When he meets Christy Forrest, he begins to hope for redemption but soon learns his past mistakes aren't something she'll easily forgive.

On the Colorado wagon train adventure planned by her late father, landscape designer Christy Forrest seeks to find peace in the nature she loves. However, she can't let go of her anger at the drunk driver who killed her dad—or the woman who did nothing to stop the man from driving. Falling for Kenn Martin begins to lighten her heart…until she realizes the handsome cowboy carries heavy a burden all his own—a burden she’s not sure she can accept.

Excerpt: “ Have you thought about staying on?” Kenn asked.

She fought for the correct reply, not wanting to sound eager. Or reluctant. Both emotions scrambled together in her heart. “I can’t deny I’m intrigued. But there’s my job. And my mom.”

“Do you think she’s worried about you? Our no cell phone rule, I mean.”

“Sure.” Christy shrugged, her throat tightening. She hadn’t given Mom much thought for a while, and guilt washed over her. “She worries about everything. And it confuses me so much. She’s supposed to be this strong Christian woman, yet she can’t seem to trust God’s will at all.”

Kenn sighed, long and loud. “I think I’ve learned faith isn’t some pinnacle you reach where you get to stay forever. There are hills and valleys all over the place.”

His quick glance stopped her heart before he looked away, as if ready to bare his soul. For a flash, she wondered if he was about to reveal to her the load Kelley had hinted at.
Christy’s voice was soft. “You think you’ll ever reach the pinnacle again? Once you land in a valley?” For some reason, today had her feeling the valley of the shadows might be a thing of the past. Or at least she was on her way upward. It wasn’t mere coincidence or habit, was it, which had her beseech God at the moment she needed Him?

“I don’t know.” Kenn’s forlorn voice touched her heart as their gazes traveled the shoreline to land on Bragg, who was busy showing Mitchell how to cast a fly rod. Maybe God had led her here to Hearts Crossing to find her own peace and to help Kennedy Martin regain his faith.

Wow, can't wait to read this one! Tanya is having a contest on her Hearts Crossing Ranch blog so run over there and see what's going on!

Well Friends, hope you enjoy this special spotlight - check back Saturday for our weekly spotlight.
Until later....Be Blessed!
