Review: The Visionary

Hello Again Friends,

Well, summer is moving right along and promotion efforts for The Visionary are heating up. This week I'm happy to bring you another review - this one from fellow author, Victoria Pitts Caine. But first the COVER (finally!) and blurb.....

A Visionary is someone who sees into the future; Taylor Forrestier sees into the past but only as it pertains to her work. Hailed by her peers as “a visionary with an instinct for beauty and an eye for the unique” Taylor is undoubtedly a brilliant architect and gifted designer. But she and twin brother Trevor share more than a successful business. The two share a childhood wrought with lies and deceit and the kind of abuse that’s disgustingly prevalent in today’s society.  Can the love of God and the awesome healing power of His grace and mercy free the twins from their past and open their hearts to the good plan and the future He has for their lives?

Now for Vicki's review!
The Forrestier twins, Trevor and Taylor, attempt to leave behind their haunting childhood, but neither realize how they’re paralyzed by their past. They are both ambitious and articulate bosses at T & T Enterprises but their fierce loyalty to each other lets few others enter into their personal realm of anguish.

Pamela S. Thibodeaux has artfully set this gripping novel in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The old, stately mansions of the area serve as an appropriate backdrop when twins have been hired by Alex Broussard to restore an old house thought to be visited by pirates. Taylor uses her insight and visionary senses to sketch the home as it once stood and how, if left to her, it would look again.

Trevor and Taylor’s careful plan to start over erupts when they quarrel over Trevor’s overprotective attitude. He’s constantly worried about Taylor and she’s found a peace with God that Trevor cannot fathom. An accident leaves Trevor hospitalized and dealing with his past.

As Taylor and Alex fall in love, Trevor deepens his relationship with Pam who works at the twin’s office. The restoration project continues as the twins struggle with the very thing that locks them away from trusting and loving others.

After an accident which leaves Taylor comatose, Alex is forced with the decision to let his love for her go and bargains with God promising he will follow Him the rest of his life.

With hurricane Gustav threatening to make landfall Taylor reveals her childhood misery with the man she loves, determined to overcome and needing to know Alex will not turn away, will not blame the child.

Ms. Thibodeaux handles multiple story lines well within this novel. This intriguing story encourages the reader that all things are possible when we turn our lives over to God. ~ Reviewed by Victoria Pitts-Caine, Author of Alvarado Gold http://vcaine.homestead.com/

Wow, THANK YOU, Vicki!

Well Friends, hope you're enjoying these reviews as much as I am. Stay tuned next week for another update and review.

Until later.....take care, God Bless and remember....if you want to change your life you must first change your thoughts!
