Featured Author: Kara O'Neal!

I am a HUGE fan of Kara O'Neal's work, so it is with Great Pleasure that I have her as Featured Author this month. Take it away, Kara...

Hello, fellow bookworms!

As I write this, it’s a clear, cool, spring day and the wildflowers are blooming. Texas in the spring is a riot of color. I can’t even begin to describe it, so I’m going to let my husband’s picture speak for me….

Those are bluebonnets surrounding one sweet paintbrush. I wait for spring like kids wait for Christmas, and all because of the flowers. They inspire me and remind me that God makes beautiful and astounding things.

So, when I was planning my next series, I had to base my heroines off Texas wildflowers. It’s been a lot of fun researching all the flowers, and even more fun to plan the covers! My husband designs all my covers. I’d love to know which is your favorite! One lucky commentor will win an ebook of the romance of their choice!

All right, I’ll stop talking, or writing, (Ha!), and let’s get started with Annalee, also known as Miss Green Eyes…

MISS GREEN EYES

Book 1

Corpus Christi, Texas, 1903

Annalee Gillespie has had her world shaken. Her father has died, leaving her as the sole owner of the Circle G. But when the will is read, she's given the shock of her life. She must make the trek up the Chisolm Trail with her foreman, the most irritating man in creation, and complete the tasks given to her, or control of the Circle G falls into another's hands.

Ewan Judge, while capable, smart, and frustratingly handsome, has needled and teased Annalee throughout the years, but somehow she has to learn to get along with him. He is, annoyingly, the best cowboy in Texas. So, she accepts the challenge and finds herself in the midst of more than one enemy.

SUNFLOWERS FOR HER

Wildflowers of Texas Series
Book 4

Buckshot, Texas, 1885

After a horrific storm rips through her hometown, Millie Stewart finds that her neighbors are in dire need of help. She sets out to do everything she can, but when her brother leaves her high and dry, she has to operate Stewart Mercantile on her own. The town is depending on her.

John Fletcher—smart, reserved, and mysterious—comes to town, sets up shop, and brings with him the knowledge needed to clear the log jam on the river, giving everyone a chance at survival.

John is a tad scary in Millie's opinion. Never mind that he's handsome. Never mind that he's generous. He makes her feel things. He makes her heart skip a beat, and suddenly, with barely a warning, she's in love. Only he doesn't seem to return the sentiment.

Her brother returns, but only to rob her blind. A little too mad and a whole lot tougher, Millie sets out to find him and give him what-for. Little does she know, someone is chasing her.

John won't let Millie go to battle alone, especially since she's the reason his heart is beating again. Can he get to Millie in time? Or will her ne'er-do-well brother's villainy take everything John holds dear?
